Last Sunday in Cypress, Hurricane “Sharad” showcased an extraordinary performance in a challenging cricket match characterized by scorching heat reaching 115 degrees Fahrenheit. Both his batting and bowling skills were remarkable, contributing significantly to an amazing victory.
Winning the toss, the Bulls opted to field first, employing a strategic decision to combat the intense heat. Sharad's initial spell of two overs yielded only six runs and resulted in one wicket, providing favorable momentum. Throughout his four overs, he maintained an economy rate of 3.75, taking two wickets. The bowling unit, consisting of Sandy, Pawan, Kishore, Gaurav, and Sid, offered valuable support. Cougars CC managed to set a respectable total of 140 runs on the Matzke ground. The demanding weather conditions, exceeding 100 degrees, tested the fitness of our players, but their unwavering determination resulted in a full-hearted performance in the field.
Our chase began with Sandeep and Paul, who played sensibly and steadily, keeping the scoreboard ticking with singles and occasional powerful shots. Following them, Jagdish and Rohit forged a decent partnership, bringing us closer to the target. Towards the end of the innings, Sujith's unexpected assault caught the opponents off guard, generating positive momentum. However, it was Sharad's composed and composed demeanor that made all the difference. Taking his time to settle in, he displayed exceptional prowess in the penultimate over, where we needed 22 runs to win. Sharad's astonishing display included two colossal sixes and three boundaries, scoring 22 runs off just five balls.
Last Sunday, we witnessed something truly extraordinary as Hurricane “Sharad” swept through the opponents, securing a special victory for our team. His outstanding all-round performance, comprising 30 runs off 15 balls and a four-over spell with 16 dot balls and two wickets, earned him the well-deserved Player of the Match award.
We would like to express our gratitude to our team member Shyam for his presence and diligent efforts in ensuring the team's hydration. Thank you, Shyam.

What a fantastic start to the season for the Bulls! After a washed-out first game and a canceled second game, we finally got to play against the formidable CSK last Saturday at Katy Hockley. CSK is undoubtedly one of the top teams, and we have an incredible camaraderie with many of their players, so facing them is always special.

CSK won the toss and chose to field first on a scorching hot day in Houston, Texas. Despite losing our openers early on, Paul and Jagdish stepped up brilliantly to stabilize the innings and keep the scoreboard ticking. Paul's explosive knock of 42 off 29 balls, including four boundaries and two magnificent sixes over the deep point fielder , showcased his full range of shots. Jagdish also displayed his class with three boundaries and a stunning six over deep mid-wicket. This partnership played a crucial role in building a competitive total of 131 for nine wickets, with Gaurav contributing a quickfire 28 off 19 balls at the end.

In the second innings, our bowlers got off to a flying start, taking six wickets in the opening overs, dealing a significant blow to CSK's chase. However, Adi and Sriram from CSK fought valiantly until the 15th over. Pawan’s beautiful full offside yorker finally broke the partnership, dismissing Adi and shifting the momentum. Sriram kept battling, but our fielders fought back with incredible efforts, pulling off some fantastic catches and runouts. The two crucial runouts in the final overs increased the pressure on CSK. With six runs needed off the last over, Kishore sealed the victory by taking Sriram's wicket, with Pawan taking a catch at mid-off. Rajesh did fantastic, keeping with 4 catches and a few brilliant stops.

Our bowling and fielding were spot-on! Kishore claimed three wickets, while Pawan and Gaurav took two each, and Sandy grabbed one. This victory was a testament to our complete team performance. Against a top team like CSK, we showed great teamwork and composure under pressure. Every member of the team contributed, whether with the bat, ball or on the field. Congratulations to all the team members! Let's keep moving onwards and upwards. Cheers to a fantastic win! 🏏💪

Wonderful weekend for Miura Bulls CC!! Hard work paid off!! We are in Div1💪💪💪 and directly qualified for quarterfinals!! Go Bulls!!

The opening batsmen are responsible for providing a solid foundation for their team's innings. They are responsible for facing the new ball, which is often the most challenging time to bat in a cricket match. Sriram R. opened the batting for the Bulls and took an aggressive approach taking the attack to the opposition bowlers from the outset. The idea behind this approach is to put pressure on the opposition by scoring runs quickly and unsettling their rhythm. Sriram’s bat was in full swing and scoring aggressively, making it easier for the rest of the batting lineup to score runs against the opponents. Sriram scored a blistering 64 runs in 38 balls with the help of 12 boundaries. A solid batting partnership is crucial in building a big score in a T20 match because it can provide stability, momentum, and depth to the batting lineup. Jagdish, with the help of Sriram, built an 87-run partnership. Jagdish played a crucial role in building a big score in the match, keeping the scoreboard ticking while taking calculated risks to score boundaries.

In T20 cricket, the last few overs of the innings are crucial in determining the match’s final outcome. This is where an aggressive batting finish can play a significant role in boosting the team's total and putting pressure on the opposition. Ahmad scored 68 runs in just 26 deliveries with five mammoth sixes and six boundaries, helping the Bulls score 196 in 20 overs. Ahmad’s innings helped the Bulls to set a challenging target for the opposition. As a cricket enthusiast, watching such an outstanding inning was great, and Abhishek had a front-row seat to witness the fireworks. Ahmed and Abhi build a 52 runs partnership in merely 19 balls.

Arjun and Kishore lead the bowling attack by picking three and four wickets, respectively. Arjun’s line and length were spot on, and he used the bounce in the pitch to his advantage. Kishore is in sublime form this season, picking a total of 14 wickets total in this season. Kishore is currently (as of 3-12-2023) a top bowler in the league. Pawan, Abhi, and Shyam also supported well in the bowling attack. Shyam was exceptional in fielding with one direct hit from midwicket position.

Wonderful weekend for Miura Bulls CC to Cherish!!!!!!!!

To win a cricket game against one of the best teams in town, it is essential to have a well-prepared strategy and execute it with precision. All our teammates have been preparing since last week, including batting, bowling, and fielding, to ensure they are fully prepared for the match. ECC won the toss and elected to bat first. The bowling unit was led by Pawan and Sharad and started off well, picking up early wickets. Our Bowlers were accurate and precise with line and length, which helped us to maintain pressure on the opponent team throughout the game.
The Outfield was absolutely horrible, but our fielders were alert and agile, preventing the opposition from scoring easy runs. ECC managed to score 103 for the loss of six wickets.

While chasing, Rohit and Ahmad opened the batting for Bulls. Rohit was in full swing, and he built some good partnerships with Paul, Jagdish, and Rajesh. Rohit was able to time the ball perfectly and place it exactly where they wanted to, finding the gaps in the field and scoring boundaries regularly, chasing the opponent's total with 5 overs to spare. Bulls batters didn’t take unnecessary risks but instead chose their shots carefully and played with a high level of skill and precision. Rohit appeared composed and confident and did not allow the pressure of the situation to affect his mindset. With his blistering knock of 58 out of 33 balls with 2 sixes and 4 boundaries, Rohit grabbed the player of the Match!!!! Well, Deserved Rohit!!! Keep it up!!!!!

This was a key win for the Bulls to ensure our place in playoffs!! After last week's loss, we analyzed where we were short and identified the areas of strength and weakness. This win will give us the motivation to continue working hard. The team remained united and motivated, supporting each other through thick and thin. Team spirit and camaraderie are one of the values we always cherish in Bulls!!!!

Also, we are happy to announce that two of our teammates, Rajesh Nadipali and Sujith Kurian, scored mind-boggling centuries playing SSCL and HPTL, respectively. The Bulls family would like to congratulate both Sujith and Rajesh for their achievements!!!

WIN! WIN! AND WIN!!❤️❤️❤️
Another great win for Miura Bulls CC!!
Houston Arrows team won the toss and decided to bat first. The entire bowling unit bowled some great spells– fast, furious, and explosive, restricting the opponents to 90 runs in 19.3 overs and got them all out. Arjun bowling was unplayable and gave 4 runs in 3 overs and took two important wickets. Kishore bowling was fantastic, and he took 2 wickets. Gaurav, Pawan, Sandy and Jagadish did great and took 1-1 wickets.

While Chasing, Bulls lost two early wickets, but Jagadish and Rajesh build 40+ runs partnership. After losing Rajesh wicket, Paul and Jagadish finish the game for the team!!

Congratulations to our team for a fantastic win in the cricket match, with a special shoutout to Player of the match Jagadish for his all-around performance. Entire team contributions were invaluable and a true testament to the importance of teamwork in sports. Well done everyone!!!!

Another great day for Miura Bulls Cricket Club!!
T-20 cricket has had its fair share of nail-biting and tense finishes, the kind of games where teams are so closely matched, and the result is incredibly close. We won the toss and asked CW (Cricket Woodlands) to bat first. The entire bowling unit bowled some great spells– fast, furious, and explosive, restricting the opponents to 85 runs in 20 overs. Bowling was up to the mark and very disciplined. Sandy was the pick of the bowler, picking a wicket in his first over and a total of three wickets. Kishore did fantastic bowling and took three wickets for the team.

While Chasing, Bulls started off well, after losing the first wicket, CW bowlers maintained the pressure and picked up key wickets at the right interval. Sid and Pawan played a measured knock with 29 runs partnership to take the Bulls home and clinch the victory. Right until the end, both sides were in the hunt for victory, and it was only Sid and Pawan’s tenacity that prevented CW from taking the win. Truly, we have been blessed to witness such grit and determination. It cannot, will not, be rivaled for as long as the game is played. To be clear, there's a very specific incarnation of Sid and Pawan that will motivate the team for matches to come in the future.

Congratulations to our team for a thrilling victory in the cricket match, with a special shoutout to Player of the match Sid. Entire team contributions were invaluable and a true testament to the importance of teamwork in sports. Well done!!!!
