🚨CALL FOR MASKS🚨

One of the hardest things to get now are MASKS and yet we are asking for YOUR HELP to get them!

You can help us in MANY ways:
✅Donating mask making supplies

✅Making masks and donating them

✅Offering your skills and sewing machine and we provide the materials!

✅Selling them are a reduced cost to HOMES Clinic

✅Spreading the word!

While masks will NOT prevent a healthy person from contracting the virus, they WILL HELP with preventing it from spreading from an infected person!

This point becomes EVEN MORE important within the homeless population!

Without the ability to social distance or practice daily hygiene, their chances of spreading the virus 🦠 through their community GREATLY INCREASES

So by arming each person with a mask we can help prevent or SLOW the progression of infection!

There will be teams in the field to screen for sick individuals and relationships with housing to provide space for those who test positive to quarantine.

Yet without providing resources for those STILL LIVING OUTSIDE the plan we have set up will become overwhelmed!

So please help us in making masks for our people in ANY way you can 🙏

There are so many unsung hero’s who have been able to continue their work without the weight of finances restricting them BECAUSE OF YOU! ⁉️Don’t Believe Me ⁉️
One of our very own FOUNDERS has been dedicating his time to restock the clinic pharmacy so that the medical professionals who are still seeing patients can provide QUALITY care 👩🏼‍⚕️ So many people from these organizations have joined together to provide all sorts of care and you are ONE OF THEM ❤️ So please let us know if you have any items or SKILLS you can donate to help us help our most vulnerable neighbors 🌎

And the GoFundMe has reached $105 since YESTERDAY! ❤️ It truly is amazing to see what the community is capable of doing when coming together 🌎

The student team at HOMES Clinic has been working diligently between classes and exams to stay on top of the needs of the homeless community while also being SAFE 😷

HOMES Clinic has worked tirelessly for 21 years since it’s establishment to serve the homeless of Houston. ⠀
⠀
It was with a heavy heart and after much deliberation that the decision to close the clinic in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic was made. ⠀
⠀
BUT that DOES NOT mean that we have decided to simply stop serving our most vulnerable neighbors! ⠀
⠀
The very dedicated team of medical and pharmacy students at HOMES Clinic have worked with The Beacon to assess what resources gaps we can assist in filling! ⠀
⠀
Here are the ways you can HELP US help our neighbors:⠀
⠀
👉Donate extra basic hygiene products ⠀
⠀
👉Donate packs of water ⠀
⠀
👉Donate socks, baby wipes and other basic needs ⠀
⠀
YET, we don’t want you rushing out to the store with your big heart ❤️ to get all of these things if it’s not already apart of your necessary trip! ⠀
