Currently, we are overseeing an education project for Children in the Bhutanese Refugee Camp in Eastern Nepal. Global Bhutanese Organization-GBO is a charitable non-profit organization operating worldwide. Global Bhutanese Organization-GBO is a collective organization of Bhutanese communities in different countries globally. It is formed by Bhutanese resettled in several countries with an idea to
serve needy people based on the urgency of their situation. It is currently active in nine countries, viz: Australia, Canada, Denmark, Nepal, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, the United Kingdom, and the United States. GBO is registered under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of the United States and Public Charity Status IRC section 509 (A) (2). GBO will remain likewise as a non-profit in each country of operation under the same principle, working independently at their own convenience. The purpose of forming this organization is to start a relief initiative for those affected by natural calamities, an outbreak of disease, political affliction, and the likes on a humanitarian basis. Relief initiatives may include:
• Disaster management.
• To provide a learning opportunity for the educationally deprived children.
• Establishing a small healthcare clinic and creating health education and awareness specifically for those internally or internationally displaced individuals or populations.
• International development and relief services on a larger scale in the long run. GBO also focuses on promoting education, health, sports, culture, and arts around the globe. The organization will provide voluntary community services as needed to any person or in any location. GBO may also participate in advocacy programs such as addressing shortfall in marginalized population on humanitarian ground. GBO will actively organize fundraising events in different parts of the world where GBO exist. Our current project is run by the funds raised from among the Bhutanese in those aforementioned countries. Mission: To provide fundamental aid initiatives that would allow a gradual building of sustainable resources for those affected by a natural disaster, healthcare disparity, and educational deprivation anywhere possible internationally. GBO will mainly focus on delivering the initiatives to internally or internationally displaced populations but not limited to supporting individuals in distress of any kind. Vision: GBO emulated by numerous organizations carrying humanistic values filled with compassion spreeding love, care, and hopes without discrimination to anyone in any form, promoting sustenance, peace, wellness, and growth in an endeavor to erode proverty worldwide. This organization's need came as the education for over 1500 children in the Bhutanese Refugee camp in the Eastern part of Nepal is at stake when the sponsors are walking away from the site one by one. We are coordinating with the Camp Management Committee (CMC) and Early Childhood Education (ECD) to help resolve these children's educational needs in the camp. Resettled Bhutanese people in different countries worldwide pledge to come together to form GBO to initiate this project. We are jointly making efforts to provide learning opportunities for children in the camp. The project partners are transforming the Pancha-Oti School site into the Early Childhood Education Center for play-based learning.
