“Houston Arab Communtiy Mutual Aid had another event to help our community during these stressful times. A Hot Meal Drive was given to 450 person on Saturday May 8th. HACMA would like to thank all of the sponsers who made this event possible and our extended thanks to our volunteers for their time on this nobel event. HACMA is always available to help in our community.

Hello friends! HACMA is hosting a Christmas Drive on Saturday, December 19th to make this season special for everyone.

We are collecting NEW toys, baby items, gifts for ladies, gifts for men, and monetary donations until December 18th. Please see the flyer below for more details.

Last Sunday, August 30, HACMA with the support of Houston Children Charity and The Alliance was able to serve over 185 students ranging from pre-K to high school in our back to school drive. We are ever grateful to our supporters, sponsors, donors, and volunteers!

This past Saturday, August 22nd the Houston Arab Community Mutual Aid coalition in partnership with Olive Branch - Muslim Family Services hosted a fresh produce distribution drive at the Arab American Community & Cultural Center. Our drive was very successful and in all, we were able to serve over 150 families. We are ever grateful to our donors partners, supporters, and volunteers as we continue our efforts to support our community during this trying time.

On August 28-29 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the City of Houston is hosting free covid-19 testing. For more details, please see the attached flyer.

The Harris County COVID-19 Relief Fund will go live TOMORROW at 6am and close on Wednesday June 24th at 10pm.

The Fund will invite all eligible low-income Harris County residents to complete an application through a multilingual call center and/or website to participate in a fair, randomized process. Eligible individuals will be matched with a community-based organization to understand their needs, verify eligibility, and provide assistance.

The online application will open here on harriscountyrelief.org on Tuesday, June 23 at 6:00am CT, and close on Wednesday, June 24 at 10:00pm CT.

You can also apply over the phone. Operators will help you during the process by recording your answers and submitting the application.

Harris County has established the Harris County COVID-19 Relief Fund to provide much-needed relief to Harris County residents most impacted by the global pandemic. Public Application open June 23 and June 24 online and by phone.
