We are all responsible for the health and well-being of all the children growing up today. When we model self esteem, we have a huge impact on anyone who sees us, especially kids.

When we express love and compassion, we impact all those around us.

When we all take on the responsibility of collectively educating our children, we create a society where all children feel empowered, because they understand that they are important.

On this day of love. We want to take a minute dispel the idea that Valentine’s day is only reserved for romantic love for us love comes in so many different shapes and sizes. ✨

Today we want to proudly and excitedly introduce you our beautiful Echo Girl 🤍

🌟She is you and she is me.
🌟She is worthy of celebrating on the good and the bad days.
🌟She is curious and sometimes she falls but.with the love of the Echo community around her.
🌟She is always able to get back up.
🌟She is the love we celebrate today.

Because Echo is an organization for women by women’s and more importantly so we started this because of women who have inspired us with their heartbreaking, awe inspiring, life changing stories.

And to all these women and the ones to come the first thing the Echo girl wants to say to you is

ECHO is founded on four main concepts called The Four Pillars. They were inspired by Dan Buettner's Blue Zones theory, which investigates the practices of populations that achieve average lifespans of 100 years. Through the lens of the four pillars, we foster healthy outcomes among young people and promote positive self-identity and leadership capability. Participants in our echo programs gain skills in:

⭐️ Confidence: Strong girls realize their inner strengths to dream and do.

⭐️ Character: Strong girls embrace their individuality.

⭐️ Caring: Strong girls show kindness and care for others.

⭐️ Connection: Strong girls value community.

With the foundation of The Four Pillars, the girls can grow into the best version of themselves together and be part of a supportive community that lasts a lifetime.

Gratitude from the depths of my heart to each and every one who embarked on this ECHO journey and to all who have supported us – collaborators, instructors, girls, and mothers alike.

Your patience with my tangled ideas, your ability to mend my crossed-out words, your provision of direction, and your role as the pencil bringing thoughts into the world – these gestures have been the heartbeats of ECHO4US. To all who did not give up, who deciphered information and ideas, thank you.

THANK YOU Harris County Juvenile Probation Department for trusting the team with your youth.

Project Remix is a Harris County Juvenile Probation Department program that supports justice-involved youth with an integrated academic and workforce development program. As students participate in GED preparation courses, they also have access to vocational training, internship opportunities and wraparound supports that help develop the soft and hard skills necessary to access and keep a job.

3 reasons why you should be extra generous with the hugs this holiday season:

1. It's chemically GOOD. When we hug, we released the Oxytocin which “promotes feelings of devotion, trust, and bonding”. It also fights the stress hormone cortisol that produces tension and panic.

2. It can keep you and your heart healthier. In addition to lower blood pressure and heart rates, research shows that the increase of oxytocin, provided to you and your loved one during a hug, can help stabilize your immune systems.

3. The more, the merrier! ❤️

We all wish for good health and happiness for ourselves and our loved ones during the holiday season - and now we can make that wish come true with a simple hug.

Tis’ the season of cooler temperatures and emotional ups and downs. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed and tired as you face the stress of family and chaos, holiday cooking and baking, and gift-giving.

Hey Echo families, this is your reminder that yoga is not just for adults! In fact, it can give children very important life skills and provides health benefits that are important not just during the holidays, but year-round.
