🌴🗣️ The richness of the Taíno language
The Taíno language is part of the cultural legacy of the indigenous peoples of the Caribbean. Although it is no longer spoken in daily life, many of its words remain in the Spanish we use today—particularly in the names of places, plants, foods, and elements of nature. 🌿🌊
🍍🥔 Words such as hamaca (hammock), huracán (hurricane), canoa (canoe), barbacoa (barbecue), and tabaco (to***co) are examples of this linguistic heritage that remains part of our everyday lives.
✨ A language may vanish from conversation, but its legacy can endure in words.
