🚨 Big News from ARSC! 🚨

After a rigorous RFP process, ARSC has officially signed an agreement to modernize the Basic Orientation Plus program! 🎉

The BOP program will be evolving to meet industry needs while maintaining its reciprocal standard.

What’s New for the BOP?
💻Online Training – Workers will have an option to complete BOP training online with technology-assisted proctoring.
🎮Scenario-Based Learning – Interactive, real-world safety simulations will better engage learners and sharpen critical thinking skills.

What’s Staying the Same?
âś… Fully aligned with OSHA CFR 1910 & 1926 for PSM compliance.
âś… Instructor-led training remains available.
âś… Graded assessments ensure worker readiness and legal defensibility.
âś… Third-party audits uphold training integrity.
âś… Streaming capabilities for site orientations remain unchanged.

What’s Next?
A phased rollout is on the way for the new BOP program! Stay tuned for updates from your local ARSC safety council on when it’s available to you.

In 2025, ARSC will continue to provide the Basic Orientation Plus (BOP) as an instructor-led course and its Refresher as a CBT course to training locations across the country.

Additionally, ARSC will introduce new delivery options for the BOP. It will soon be available anytime, anywhere with the support of technology-assisted proctoring at participating safety councils.

Ensure your industry and its contractors have options for training — an essential element in keeping training affordable, accessible and adaptable.
