💙 Goals, skills and confidence on the field!

Girls at our Spring Branch Club are taking part in Goals for Girls, a 10-week soccer development program presented by Chevron and Dynamo & Dash Charities.

Each week, Club members are building their soccer skills, staying active and growing their confidence on the field. They even received a special visit from Houston Dash midfielder Linda Ullmark, who joined them for a recent session! ⚽️

We’re excited to see our Club members continue to learn, grow and enjoy the game through November!

Thank You, Representative Charles Cunningham! 📚

Texas Alliance CEO Vincent Harding and Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston CEO Kevin Hattery had the opportunity to meet with State Representative Charles Cunningham to discuss the priorities of Boys & Girls Clubs across Texas and the importance of investing in young people and their futures.✨

We appreciate Representative Cunningham for taking the time to meet with us and engage in a meaningful conversation about supporting Texas youth through academic success and avoiding substance abuse amongst other things. We also shared how high-quality out-of-school-time programs provide young people with the mentorship and leadership opportunities they need to succeed.

We are grateful that we had the opportunity to share how Boys & Girls Clubs are helping more than 395,000 young people across Texas build great futures every day. ⭐

⚾️ Our Club Kids had a BIG time on the field!

Thanks to Bank of America and the Astros Foundation, our youth participated in the Sports with Us Clinic, learning baseball skills alongside former professional athletes and special guests from the Houston Astros! ❤️💙

A special highlight was meeting and practicing with Astros player Isaac Paredes. We’re grateful for opportunities like this that inspire our youth to get active, try something new and dream BIG! ⚾️
