It's pregnancy and infant loss awareness month. Hugs and love to all of us mamas that have to continue to live life in a constant state of grief that will last until we see our babies again.

Whew this 😢. I can only speak for myself and say that one day, with prayer and pleading to God, I woke up one day and decided to fight for my happy. I'm still in the process of fighting for it. I just decided one day to start doing things that make me happy. It's a mental decision. Also, medication helps! If you need meds please go and see your DR about it. It's hard man! It's not easy but we can do it!

It's easy to look at a set back as failure. At one point in my grief I thought it was punishment. And though I would not describe my situation as a setback, lingering too long with my negative self talk and intrusive thoughts would delay my healing journey.

Yes! Please stop telling us how strong we are. We understand your intention is good but the impact isn't pleasant for us. Lord knows this is a strength that we didn't ask for. And if we could pass on this we certainly would. This is the absolute worst. But here we are pushing through trying to keep the memories of our angels alive.

Whew! I'm taking it one day at a time. It is truly a journey! Postpartum, then grief, then pregnancy while grieving, and now parenting while grieving and still in a postpartum period. My sweet angel 👼🏾 and his sister are 14 months apart. We will celebrate her 1st birthday soon. And while looking at her sweet face fills my heart with so much joy it bursts at the seams. There is a dull ache that sometimes feels like an anchor pulling at my heart as well. There is certainly a reason why maternal "su***de is a leading cause of death in the perinatal period (pregnancy and 1 year postpartum)." I can admit that the lows can be unbearable and that I'm making my mental health a priority. But if there are any moms here that feel they can't bear it alone there is help available.
