NOMINATIONS ARE NOW OPEN FOR BBSA HONORS 2017

Since 2010, the Black Business Student Association’s Honors Reception has celebrated BBSA Alumni who are tremendously successful in their professional endeavors while being actively involved with the current student body of the Jones School. BBSA gives out two awards: The Dean’s Legacy Alumni Award and the Sean Ferguson Emerging Alumni Award.

Please nominate yourself or someone you know to be honored at the annual BBSA Honors Reception in April 2017. Nominations will be accepted until Friday March 3, 2017.

Diversity & Inclusion Conference 1/20/2017

Rice Business will be holding its first Diversity & Inclusion Conference entitled "Sparking Success: The Intersection of Business and D&I" this Friday Jan 20th from 8:30am-5:00pm! We have several notable speakers including Dr. Stephen Klineberg of the Kinder Institute, Subha Barry, and Elizabeth Campbell. There will be several fantastic networking opportunities including lunch and a reception at the end of the conference.

A Homecoming tailgate invitation from ARUBA:

"Join the Association of Rice University Black Alumni (ARUBA) and our outstanding ARUBA lettermen for the 2nd Annual Homecoming Tailgate on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 12 noon outside Gate 1. This year we take on Prairie View in the first Homecoming against an HBCU that we can recall.

This year our gracious hosts Kenny B. '01 (baseball), Jerrel R. '02 (chief social organizer), Q. Mensah '00 (mens track) as well as alumni DJ Harith "No Request" N. '98 (football) and Grill Master B. Coston '94 (football) are keeping the party going!

Enjoy great music, food, drinks and laughs at this FREE event. If you want to bring additional drinks or give tips to our generous vendors, we would greatly appreciate it (although not required).

The National Black MBA Association - Houston Chapter has opportunities for Houston Professionals to serve as mentors to high schoolers through their Leaders of Tomorrow (LOT) program. There is an informational session tomorrow for those interested in learning more about becoming a mentor.
