Our Ministry is centered on creating opportunities for participants to be active and engaged in praise and worship. For our teens and young adults, we have developed Ministry Mentors to create leadership opportunities within our church. Participants are now able to assist in operations involving music, audio and visual, communications, event planning/catering, hospitality, and additional opportunities with Ushers, Greeters, and Praise Dance.
Our Youth Church is focused on creating “Lessons on Your Level”, teachings that share the same topic, yet tailored for ages ranging between Pre-K through 8th grade! DUE TO COVID 19 WE NOW OFFER CHILDREN/YOUTH CHURCH VIRTUALLY! Participants ages 3-14 can join our video meetings to enhance their Christian learning experience as we cover several themed lessons! VIRTUAL YOUTH SESSIONS are held each Sunday and provide an immersive learning experience through music, videos, activities, art, small groups, and personal reflection. Parents are included in our 13-month curriculum via monthly newsletters with additional tools and options to encourage continued learning at home.
Our Fellowship and Outreach events are in place to not only provide fun and healthy peer interactions but to build moral character while supporting compassionate behavior towards others. Our events in the past have included trips to Main Event Entertainment, skating rinks, museums, movie theatres, and amusement parks. As for community service, our annual projects include stocking purses with toiletries for donation to women’s shelters, participating in food drives during Thanksgiving, hosting a free festival for the community, and partnering with Angel Tree Ministry to purchase Christmas gifts for children who have incarcerated parents.
Our Programs and Special Occasions allow our youth and young adults to celebrate significant times of the year with their family and friends. Our Youth Ministry often participates in Black History Month, Easter, Mother’s Day, Pastoral and Church Anniversaries, and more. In May, an Honor’s Day is set aside to celebrate and recognize students with educational achievements and graduates.
