In Loving Memory of The Mighty Sparrow

Slinger Francisco, 1935–2026

We join the Caribbean community and admirers around the world in mourning the passing of the legendary Slinger Francisco, The Mighty Sparrow, the “Calypso King of the World.”

Your music gave voice to the struggles, experiences, celebrations, and everyday life of Caribbean people. You will be lovingly remembered as a powerhouse whose extraordinary talent connected generations and whose contribution to Caribbean culture will live on through the music you leave behind.

Our deepest condolences to his family, loved ones, colleagues, and the entire Caribbean cultural community.

Eternal, restful peace to you Mighty Sparrow.

Your voice may be silent but your music, your stories, and your legacy will continue to sing for generations ❤️🎤👑
