Weโ€™re honored to have brought free skin health screenings and education to the incredible AFRAM Festival in Baltimore. Connecting communities with access to care and raising awareness about skin health is what the Skin Deep: Melanin Matters movement is all about.

When mission-driven leaders come together, access to quality healthcare becomes a reality. The African American Health Coalition is proud to partner with Arlene Rose of Suite Sense Innovative Wellness and Texas Southern Universityโ€™s Institute for Public Health to bring expert dermatology care, education, and free skin screenings directly to our community.

Independence was declared but black communities continued in pursuit๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ
Long before health equity became a national conversation, our communities were caring for one another, advocating for one another, and creating pathways to freedom despite barriers that were never meant to be ours.

Today, we honor the Black heroes who broke barriers.

The soilders who fought.
The trailblazers who answered every call.
The researchers who changed medicine.
The ancestors who shared life-saving knowledge.
The caregivers, advocates, and community leaders who refused to let our communities be left behind through generations.

Our freedom is one of resilience.
Our future must be one of equity.

At , we believe health is more than healthcare,itโ€™s freedom to thrive.

This Fourth of July, we celebrate not only how far weโ€™ve come, but our continued commitment to closing gaps, expanding access, and ensuring our communities have the opportunity to live a healthier future.
