Blessings Upon Blessings! 🙏🏽

We have more wonderful news to celebrate! All six Form 4 students in Hope For Widows in Malawi’s (H4W) Child Education Sponsorship Program (CESP) have passed the Malawi Secondary Certificate of Education (MSCE)! 🎉

In recognition of the Form 4 students' outstanding achievements, Amess Nthala, H4W’s Founder and Managing Director, personally rewarded each student for every subject in which they achieved an exceptional score.💜

The student's faith, hard work, and commitment have paid off, and we couldn’t be more proud! Their achievement is a testament to Proverbs 16:3 ~ “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.”

Now, we are praying, believing and preparing for the next chapter: University!

We are asking our Malawi Collective family to please join us in praying for the students as they navigate the very competitive university selection process in Malawi.

Pray that doors will open, that they will be selected for their desired programs, and that God will continue to guide and bless their educational journeys.

Kids Do Better When They Know They Matter. 💛

There is something incredibly beautiful about watching a child discover, “I can do this.”

When children discover that they can rise to meet expectations that once seemed impossible, and even surpass them, it becomes more than confidence.

It becomes belief: belief in themselves, belief in what they are capable of, and belief in the God who created them with purpose.

Hope For Widows in Malawi’s End-of-School-Year Celebration for their Child Education Sponsorship Program (CESP) is not only about report cards, awards, and academic accomplishments.

It is a celebration of who the children are becoming. 🎓✨

We are deeply honored to partner with H4W's CESP and to walk alongside the children in the program as they grow, not only academically, but spiritually as well. We get to witness them learn, stretch, overcome, dream, and discover their God-given abilities within them.

And that is worth celebrating. 🎉💛

We are incredibly proud to highlight and celebrate the incredible achievement of Mildred Mwamdaza, a student in
Hope For Widows in Malawi's Child Education Sponsorship Program (CESP).

Mildred has been accepted into the Honours Program in Biomedical Laboratory Science at Mzuzu University! 🧪🔬🎉

Mildred’s achievement is even more remarkable when you consider how competitive university selection is in Malawi. Out of 32,527 applicants, only 29,812 qualified, and just 10,597 (~33%) of the qualified students were selected to attend university in the entire country.

✨ Mildred was one of those 10,597 students! ✨

This celebration is about so much more than an acceptance letter. It represents years of hard work, perseverance, faith, determination, and a commitment to her dream of attending university. We could not be more proud of Mildred! And behind milestones like this are people who believe in the power of education.

Today, we celebrate the strength of widows and the organizations that stand beside them to empower the widow’s journey with purpose, compassion, and hope.

We are proud to partner with Amess Nthala, Founder and Managing Director of Hope For Widows in Malawi. A widow’s journey is one of courage and renewal - marked by resilience, inner strength, and the determination to keep moving forward by God’s grace.

Hope for Widows is building pathways of empowerment, restoring confidence, and opening doors to new possibilities. Every act of their support becomes a seed of change, growing into brighter futures and stronger communities.

📚Building Futures Through Education and Partnership

Hope For Widows in Malawi's (H4W) Child Education Sponsorship Program was delighted to welcome Roda Yakobe, Tionge Muyenyembe and Patricia Bingu with Eagles Institute on Thursday afternoon. Eagles Institute shared about their education-focused mission and discussed exploring opportunities for partnership.

During their visit, they also distributed copies of the book Peace Love & Liberty as part of their initiative to expand access to educational resources that inspire young minds through the power of education and learning.

We are grateful for this opportunity to connect with Eagles Institute and we look forward to working together to create more opportunities for the children in H4W’s Child Education Sponsorship Program. ☮️

Part 2 – Joyful Reunion in Malawi ✨
The blessings continue! As part of the ongoing generosity made possible through donations from Lakewood Church Relief & Outreach. It was the widows' turn at Hope For Widows in Malawi (H4W) to receive the beautiful undergarments and clothing so lovingly and graciously provided.

A laptop donated by Malawi Collective supporters was also presented to H4W’s Child Education Sponsorship Program, creating new opportunities for learning and growth. The gift sparked a joyful moment as Amayi Angelina enthusiastically practiced speaking English, proudly sharing her growing skills with a radiant smile. 💻😊

“Our future is so bright, we need to wear shades!” During the 2026 Mobilizing Medicine & Missions Conference, sunglasses generously donated by RestoringVision were distributed, bringing smiles and delight to the widows. 😎

Last, but certainly not least, H4W proudly honored Pastor Emmanuel Alinafe Yotamu, resident pastor and volunteer Child Education Sponsorship Program Coordinator, with a special gift in recognition of Pastor Emmanuel achieving a Bachelor’s degree in Theology.✝️ His dedication to both ministry and education continue to be an inspiration to the H4W community and beyond.
