I talked to about sobriety, Houston social spaces, and what it really takes to feel safe showing up as your full self. Listen to the full podcast on 🎙️
First things first:
1. We all know what AA says, and it works for some. But if and when you feel grounded in your sobriety and able to be around alcohol, you may still feel safe. If not, we’ve got plenty of fun beyond bars.
2. There is real safety in numbers when you’re stepping into spaces that might trigger anxiety or old patterns.
3. Recovery doesn’t mean “done.” It means staying aware, constantly checking in with your environment, your people, and what actually supports your growth.
And Houston… my heart. ❤️
This is a city that loves to be outside, to brunch, to celebrate, to show up. That energy shaped my relationship with sobriety in a real way.
It pushed me to figure out how to still be social, still be present, and still feel like myself, without alcohol.
Being in alcohol-centered spaces in 2026 looks different. Sober people are no longer the “other.” We have options now. NA drinks and Intentional communities.
Ways to be part of the moment without compromising ourselves. ✨
I had such a great conversation with Craig, go listen to the full interview through the link in my bio.
And this is exactly why Sober Girls exists. We don’t need alcohol to start the party.
We are the party. ✨
