The Friends of the Seminary is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Corporation and is organized to support Catholic seminaries, seminarians, and priests. FoS supports the awareness and increase in vocations to the Catholic Priesthood through the spiritual and physical development of the seminary. We understand the benefit and critical importance of supporting Catholic seminarians and priests in developing thei

r spirituality in faith, piety, and reverence for the sacred and traditional treasures of the Catholic Church. We believe that helping priests and new seminarians become ordained priests is critical to the health, viability, and future of the Catholic Church. Donations to FoS are tax-deductible to the full extent allowable under the law.

The Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston continues to prepare men at St. Mary's Seminary who will shepherd the city’s growing 1.7 million Catholics. On the weekend of the Feast of Corpus Christi, June 6-7, the local faithful have the opportunity to directly support Archdiocesan seminarians with the Corpus Christi Collection. This effort provides funds to operate the Seminary and facilitate formation for the seminarians studying at St. Mary’s.
