7 years. 5 sharp shifts. 📊 And a tradition that hasn’t moved. We surveyed Houston’s Black givers in 2019 and again in 2026. Some things shifted a lot. Some things didn’t move at all proving that our giving isn’t a trend. It’s a tradition. A legacy. ✊🏾

Black Philanthropy Month may be ending, but between the launch of a new giving circle that just granted $25,000 (shout out The Bayou Collective 👏🏾), the completion of our second survey, and the launch of on the horizon, these 31 days prove what we’ve always known — Houston shows up for its own.🏙️

Data and full slide deck available on our website. đź”— in bio

The deep dive: Two numbers. One tradition.💥 Two things we learned from this year’s Houston Black Donor Survey — swipe to see what’s shaping Black giving right now. 👉🏿 CTA: Swipe through, then save and share with someone who needs to see it.

The tradition: Houston’s Black givers and volunteers dedicate 56% of their time 🤲🏾 to Black-led organizations and 49% of their giving.💵 That’s not a trend. That’s a tradition.

What we care about: It’s not just where we give and volunteer — it’s what we care about. Education (67%) and social justice (62%) top the list for Houston’s Black donors. 🫶🏾
