is about reconnecting with our planet and renewing our commitment to care for a world that takes care of us.

While we can make individual choices to limit our personal exposure to toxic chemicals, it's important to recognize that the petrochemical and oil & gas industries remain present and underregulated in our communities. Many of these companies have violated the Clean Air Act and Clean Water Act for years, showing little regard for the environment that surrounds them and the communities that neighbor them.

On this Earth Day, spend time with nature and reflect on the steps you will take to support others in this struggle for a toxic-free future.

Ending toxic multigenerational harm begins with multigenerational healing. The bilingual Build Your Future Community Event encompassed everything we want to see as we build a world that goes . Nations, tribes, community members, and movements from all over the U.S. shared knowledge, honored those who we have lost in the struggle, and we lifted up the next generations.

It meant even more to have our Super Neighborhood welcome this movement.

Please join us as we continue this work over the next two days.

In less than two weeks, executives of oil & gas and chemical companies from around the world will convene in Houston, Texas, for the annual CERAWeek and World Petrochemical Conferences. There, they will make decisions that will impact the health of communities for generations. Join us and other orgs, community members from Houston and across the nation, for three days of activities that tell these polluters and CEOs that we stand strong together and don't need their economic and health exploitation.

Register at the link in bio. Activities begin March 21, 2026.

"Reverend Jackson stood wherever dignity was under attack, from apartheid abroad to injustice at home. His voice echoed in boardrooms and in jail cells." - Rev. Al Sharpton

Reverend Jesse Jackson was a prominent civil rights leader with a lifelong commitment to social and economic justice. He began organizing in North Carolina, taking part in sit-ins and marches. He then worked closely alongside Martin Luther King, Jr., running Operation Breadbasket, an economic development and empowerment program. He ran for the Democratic presidential nomination in 1984 and 1988 on campaigns that prioritized addressing poverty and drew historic levels of support from a diverse “National Rainbow Coalition” of Americans, nodding to notable Black Panther Fred Hampton’s historic work uniting people across races and backgrounds around economic justice. Jackson’s bold, intersectional vision increased civic engagement and paved the way for a more inclusive and progressive wing within the Democratic Party. We honor his life and work.
