⭐️ Today's comes from one of our top fundraisers Jack Tan!

This will be my fourth year participating in the Houston SAA event. When I signed up the first year, I thought it would be cool to try an open water swim and knew it was for a good cause.

After participating the first year, it was clear that it was so much more than “just a swim”. From hearing people talk about their experiences with cancer to meeting Julia and hearing her story to seeing everyone come together to raise money for a great cause…it’s truly a special event.

My grandma is a cancer survivor and there are too many people affected by cancer and needing to go through awful treatments. I love to swim, and if I can swim for a good cause, all the better. I am grateful for my health and will never take it for granted. I hope that the money I raise for the swim, combined with all the other donations, can really make a difference in cancer research.

Thank you, Jack, for sharing your story and for helping make a difference through Swim for a Cure! 💙

Swim for a Cure: Fulshear Racing Swim Team

This past Saturday, September 19th, the Fulshear Racing Swim Team came together for the first FRST RED/BLACK Intersquad Meet at Jordan High School to swim laps and raise money for MD Anderson.

We are so proud of the swimmers, families, and coaches for coming together to support such an important cause. Every lap helped make a difference in the fight against cancer! ❤️🖤

The Swim Across America Pool Program is a great way for age-group, high school, Masters, and summer league programs to support the SAA mission and raise funds in their own communities.

⭐️ Today's comes from Swim Across America - Houston very own Andy Rieger!

On September 26th, I will be participating in Swim Across America - Houston. I participate in Swim Across America Houston to honor my brother Matt and my first wife Jordana who both lost their battles to cancer in 2021 and in 2018, respectively, and to pay it forward for all the people (some we knew and some we didn’t) who supported Matt, Jordana, and our family during the difficult times.

In addition to being a way to give back, Swim Across America has also brought much personal happiness into my life. In 2022, Kristen and I reconnected at Swim Across America Houston after not seeing each since we were age group swim teammates over 30 years ago. We've been together ever since and got married in 2024.

Please join me in continuing the fight against cancer and honoring the legacy of Jordana, Matt, and countless others by considering a donation to this worthy cause.
