I now have a live chat on my lions club website. You can communicate with me in real time without any APIs you just send a message, and wait for my reply. There is however a delay for several seconds. Outgoing messages tend to take up to like 30 seconds, and the incoming messages (from me) will take only a few seconds. You won't need to sign up for anything, you will not need to worry about any extra steps!

Edit: It sends almost immediately, it just takes a little longer for me to recieve a notification.

Houston Montrose Lions Club Website under development.

Hi this is Lion Celeste Aurore Martin I am now the president of the Houston Montrose Lions Club! The club was chartered last year, in 2020, and it has been a year since then. I still participate in events in the community but as of right now, it is just our Guiding Lions Lucy Gonzales and Mark Roth and myself. Sadly, our last president has informed me that he will not be able to participate in the club. The pandemic has been hard, and people have their careers to focus on. In the mean time, I have been spending a lot of time studying, and teaching myself computer science, electrical engineering, calculus, advanced trigonometry, astrophysics and cosmology. Which has afforded me the ability to develop the official website for the Houston Montrose Lions Club!

Powered by HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, I have the opportunity to do a lot with the website. But, what I do need are ideas on what others would like to see in the official website! I cannot guarantee that I will be able to implement those ideas as I am still learning how to program. But, I do not want that to stop the suggestions either. Please check out the website, and feel free to contact us through the official club email address, or on Facebook! When you visit the website there is a pink button with an envelope emoji. When you click on that button, it will automatically pull up your email, and automatically inserts the club email address in the appropriate location, so you don't have to worry about going back and looking for that information!

At the same time, I am curious if everybody can actually see the video located under the Mission Statement page! If you are having trouble viewing the page please contact us to let me know! The website is designed to be highly responsive, so the elements should automatically rearrange themselves to fit the size of the device you are viewing them from! For the video, the width of the video should automatically resize, but the height of the video should stay the same at 314px. If you are on a laptop or desktop, you should be able to view the video full screen, but that option doesn't seem to work on mobile devices.

Speaking about responsiveness, on laptop devices I can also zoom into the website to view the pictures more closely. This does not seem to work on mobile devices either! Once you zoom in on the pictures, they do remain very very clear. This is very crucial to web development. Please let us know if you are experiencing any issues, or if the website is working as intended!

I look forward to hearing your responses! Thank you in advance! 🙂🙂🙂

Cloudbreak Communities is a community of 500 Veterans that has at some point struggled with Homelessness, Drug Addiction and or Mental Health Problems. The veterans may be Housed in the CTI program to help them get back on their feet, then they may transition out with a HUD-VASH voucher for housing. Some of the veterans who transition out, may choose to live there, and they Single Room Occupancy (SRO). Until such time, they receive Case Management, Mandatory Classes, get set up with a Primary Care Physician at the Michael E Debakey VA Medical Center, and a Primary Psychiatrist, 3 meals a day, a room with about 2 or 3 other veterans Clothing, blankets and hygienic necessities. Once a veteran becomes SRO, they may still be struggling with needs, or may still have a difficult time adapting. Cloudbreak Communities relies on support from the community like donations. For the most part, donations are stored throughout the year, until certain times of the year, then volunteers participate distribute those donations between the veterans. Being able to volunteer for distribution is also very rewarding for those of us who can. Being able to help others is my passion, and part of the reason I joined the Lions Club in the First Place.

I would like to thank you in advance for your contribution in helping us, help our community. 🙂🙂🙂
