A heartfelt ¡Mil gracias! to the incredible volunteers from Chevron for rolling up their sleeves and serving alongside us at Food Distribution Friday! 🍏✨

Thanks to your compassion and hard work, we were able to provide fresh, nutritious produce directly to local families. Your dedication goes so much deeper than volunteering, you are directly supporting our mission of building stronger, healthier families and uplifting the neighborhoods where we live and work.

We are incredibly grateful for Chevron's continued investment in our Food Security program and for the beautiful hearts of everyone who came out to make a difference. 💙🤝

A Vibrant Future for Every Family.

Thank you for celebrating East End families with us at our 2026 Thriving Families Luncheon. 💙

It was a meaningful afternoon recognizing the people and partnerships that help families thrive.

Thank you to our Co-Chairs, Clarita Gonzalez and Casandra Riojas, and to Dr. Ruth López Turley with the Kinder Institute for Urban Research for sharing insights into the needs facing Houston families.

We also thank Cliff Pearson for helping us honor the John P. McGovern Foundation with the East End Legacy Award, recognizing 15 years of partnership.

A special thank-you to Amanda Limón for sharing what Community Family Centers has meant to her and her son, Christopher. Her words captured the importance of having a place to turn for support:

“You never feel like a burden when you’re asking for help.”

We’re grateful to Sister Pauline Troncale and Antonio Ríos for being part of our program, and to Anayeli Ruiz of KHOU 11 News for warmly guiding the afternoon as our emcee.

To our sponsors, partners, donors, volunteers, and everyone who joined us: thank you for standing alongside CFC and East End families.

One question can weigh heavily on a parent: How will I provide for my child?

Earlier this year, one mother came to Community Family Centers looking for a path forward. Through our Toddler, Infant, and Parent Services program (TIPS), she found support, encouragement, and the footing she needed to secure steady employment.

Today, she is working, supporting her family, and encouraging other mothers to believe in what is possible.

She is one of more than 300 mothers served through TIPS this year, and her story represents the people behind CFC’s work across Houston’s East End.

On Tuesday, October 13, 2026, we will come together at The Junior League of Houston for our Thriving Families Luncheon to celebrate stories like hers and invest in a vibrant future for every family.

There is still time to join us.
