Welcoming our newest High School Director to the Wildcatters Family!
Brooks Badeaux, is a former Team USA player and coach who was most recently the head coach at Teurlings Catholic High School (Lafayette, La.) for the last 6 seasons. After a standout collegiate career at Florida State where he helped lead the Seminoles to 3 College World Series appearances, Badeaux spent 10 seasons in the farm systems of the Baltimore Orioles and Tampa Bay Rays - Spending parts of 7 years at the AAA level.
In 2005, the middle infielder suited up for the Professional National Team at the Baseball World Cup, playing in five games for the stars and stripes and picking up four hits and four RBIs. Badeaux has held three assistant coach jobs with Team USA, serving on staff for the 18U National Team in 2011, 2012, and 2016. The U.S. won gold medals in each of those three tournaments, winning a world championship in 2012 in addition to two Qualifier gold medals in 2011 and 2016 at the Pan-Am games.
Prior to becoming the head coach at his alma mater, Badeaux was a volunteer assistant coach at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette from 2009-2011. He became the head coach of Teurlings Catholic High School, in 2020, and led the Rebels to back-to-back championships at the LHSAA Baseball State Tournament in 2024 and 2025. Badeaux will be on the coaching staff for the Cotuit Kettleers of the prestigious Cape Cod Leage for the summer if 2026.
He and his wife Ramey have 4 children: Brant, Finley, Bradley, and Mae
