Violence against women and girls is *still* one of the most widespread human rights violations worldwide — and it’s not just happening “somewhere else.” Even in the most developed countries, women face harm, especially in a rapidly growing space: the **digital world**.
This year’s **UNiTE 2025 Campaign** shines a spotlight on **digital violence** — an abuse that’s rising fast due to weak tech regulations, loopholes in the law, anonymous perpetrators, and evolving forms of harassment fueled by AI.
📉 **Fewer than 40% of countries have laws protecting women online.**
🌍 That leaves **1.8 billion women and girls** without legal protection against cyber harassment, stalking, doxxing, impersonation, hate speech, online grooming, and more.
Digital spaces should be safe for everyone — and change requires *all of us*.
✔️ Governments must create and enforce laws
✔️ Tech companies must protect users and remove harmful content
✔️ Donors must support organizations on the front lines
✔️ **People like YOU can raise awareness, speak up, and stand with survivors**
🧡 **The UNiTE Campaign to End Digital Violence Against Women and Girls runs Nov 25–Dec 10**, starting on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and ending on Human Rights Day.
👉 **Join the movement. Share this message. Stand with survivors. Raise your voice. Together, we can help end digital violence.**
