KPV Mother Aisha Moultry serves as the Executive Director of the College of Transdisciplinary Studies and Professor of Pharmacy Practice & Administration at Texas Southern University. This trailblazing mother has had the honor of establishing the College of Transdisciplinary Studies and creating a pathway to degree completion for students who previously stopped out of college. It goes without saying that Mother Moultry’s influence is making an IMPACT! We salute you, Mother Moultry!

Meet Dr. Christen Goolsby, a KPV mother and educator making an IMPACT in education! Dr. Goolsby is a professor at the Cizik School of Nursing at UTHealth in Houston. Her passion is educating the next generation of nurses in women’s health, simulation, and health disparities faced by underserved populations. She also enjoys serving her community by sharing her vast knowledge with adolescents and young adults. We salute you, Dr. Goolsby!

Her curriculum enhances the traditional American classroom standards by exploring the contributions of African American art, fashion, and style. We salute you, Mother Stone!

Mother McMillan is a sixth grade math teacher in Cypress-Fairbanks ISD who provides a safe and nurturing learning environment for her students each and every day. In addition to being a supermom of three, Dr. Moore is the Coordinator for Mental Health at the Texas Region 4 Education Service Center and a professor of Psychology at the University of St. Thomas in Houston. Dr. Lowry serves as the Vice President of the Texas Association of Community Colleges and as the Executive Director of the Texas Success Center. She is a national expert and thought leader on student success, focusing on strategic leadership, advocacy, and the advancement of student outcomes.

The Katy-Prairie View Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., remembers Congresswoman and Houston Chapter Associate member Mother Sheila Jackson Lee. She has been a trailblazer for the City of Houston and in her commitment to public service. Sheila Jackson Lee leaves a legacy that will continue for years to come. Our prayers are with her family, the Houston Chapter, our South Central Region, and all who loved her. May she rest in Heavenly Peace.

Hurricane Berly was an unwelcome guest, but the unity within the KPV family is shining bright. Many families have opened their homes to those without power and are working together to help in the community where they can. Our very own Chapter PD Rasberry hosted a “Charging-Up Lunch,” a beautiful example of our community coming together. This gathering allowed families a moment to dip in the pool, grab a bite to eat, sit in the AC and charge their devices. In true KPV fashion, EXCELlence IS our standard! 🩷💙
