As we grew up in our tradition and it was dark, but GOD was our light and our salvation and our strength. Former Precinct Seven Constable and Reverend Perry Wooten endured dark days, but GOD granted him the light of the ministry to lead others to salvation. Reverend Wooten dedicated his life to fighting for the rights of others and serving his community through ministry and justice. He has now found eternal rest. I talk with one of his daughters she stated they will be celebrating his life soon, and she will share the details for those who wish to honor him at his homegoing. There are no perfect people in this world and certainly no perfect politicians but we thank GOD for Jesus...
As Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. reminded us, "The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy."
Rest Well Pastor Wooten thanks for the many conversations and insights you are at peace and can't nobody take that away...
