A first pregnancy can come with plenty of questions, especially when you’re navigating it for the first time in your 40s 💕

When this mom came to us, we were able to connect her with a specialist who could provide the additional support and care she needed throughout her pregnancy.

Today, she and her precious baby are healthy, happy, and thriving! 🥰

🎉 We’re grateful to hear that baby Gabriel has been born and has received the first of several surgeries to treat his heart condition! His life is possible today because his surrogate mother refused to abort him after his biological parents told her to.

Gabriel’s story reveals the troubling reality of surrogacy: children can be treated as commodities and women as tools to fulfill someone else’s desires. When a child doesn’t meet expectations, their life can be treated as disposable.

👉 Gabriel’s diagnosis did not diminish his worth. Every child deserves the chance to live, thrive, and be loved. We pray that this child continues to receive the real health care and love he deserves.

In the case of surrogate McKenna West and baby Gabriel, CBS News reports that the baby had the first in a series of necessary surgeries to treat his condition.
