By giving men the right tools and life skills to become family leaders, we can solve many societal problems and make the world a better place. About Glass House Foundation-
The Glass House Foundation offers temporary housing for men ages 18 +. During their stay at the Glass House these young men have mentors. The Glass House is a highly structured, spiritual, learning environment. These young men

engage in classes pertaining to life skills, computer literacy, proper diet, nutrition and exercise, financial budgeting, vocational classes, cooking, entrepreneurship, and most important, learning their role in the family from a spiritual and physical perspective. Glass House Foundation consists of a professional staff including therapists/counselors, and a nurse practitioner for total wellness; mind, body, and soul. Glass House Foundation encourages the men to get involved with gardening by planting and harvesting a great portion of the foods they eat. They fish from a fully stocked pond, gather the harvests of fruit and nut trees and vegetables on the property which teaches them to harvest and prepare their own food. The men can enjoy a fragrant oasis of peace and tranquility with the beautiful arches of jasmine and other beautiful flowers and foliage in the courtyard, where they are free to sit at the benches or tables to read, write, reflect and meditate. The men at Glass House have an opportunity to take a music, art, or woodworking class which is given once a week. It is a proven fact that music and arts reduce stress, increase productivity, develop creativity, build confidence, as well as a host of other benefits, which is why these types of classes are essential. The men of Glass House know the importance of giving back, therefore our success stories come and participate in mentoring the newest men of the organization.

He came to us homeless, hopeless, and carrying a warrant… but today he walked out of court with a second chance at life.🙏🏽❤️

Last Tuesday, Luis came to my home in Spring after a woman reached out to Glass House Foundation trying to help him. Luis had been homeless, overwhelmed, and carrying the weight of multiple struggles — especially an active warrant after missing two court dates while living on the streets with no transportation or support.

We told Luis the truth: he had to face it head on. And today… victory was won.

Glass House Foundation stood beside Luis in court today and advocated on his behalf. The judge appointed him an attorney, lifted the warrant, and reset the case after hearing that Luis has been under our care since May 19th and will remain with our program as he works toward stability over the next 12 months.

The relief on his face said everything.

After court, we were able to go to DPS and get his replacement ID issued so he can begin moving forward with employment and rebuilding his life. Because of those who shared and supported his story, there are already potential job opportunities lined up for him.

This is what second chances look like.
This is what community looks like.
This is what happens when somebody finally has people willing to stand beside them instead of giving up on them.

Luis is ready for his new beginning.

Thank God for grace, new mercies, and another chance at life. 🙏🏽

May 18, 2026 a young woman called me desperate to help a 29-year-old man she found on the streets carrying his belongings in a trash bag. Though I’ve been home this past week handling personal matters, I couldn’t ignore her heart to help him. She Ubered him to my home.

When he arrived, my family welcomed him with a shower, clean clothes, a hot meal, and conversation. After opening up, he admitted he’s struggling with addiction and feels like he’s ruined relationships with his family. He even said he doesn’t know how to pray.

We told him prayer isn’t about perfect words — it’s just talking to God honestly. So tonight, we prayed with him, encouraged him, and reminded him that addiction does not make him unworthy of love or another chance.

I’m currently searching for resources and shelter options for him. Please pray for Louis tonight. Pray for healing, strength, and hope. Sometimes changing someone’s life starts with simply opening the door.

Special thank you to Ms. Shalonda Pettigrew for her continued generosity towards Glass House Foundation!
This past week she dropped off some food items, like deli meat, bread, donuts and these DELICIOUS homegrown eggs from her hens!
She told me beforehand that her "girls" lay GOOD eggs! These eggs are great!
Thank you so much, the❣️🙏🏽🙂

Addiction didn’t start with my generation. It entered our family through my father. My grandmother told me when I was a teenager, that after my father returned home from the service/ navy that, he was never the same again.

My oldest brother was introduced to crack through our father and battled addiction for 35 years before finally finding sobriety 7 years ago. My other brother is still fighting. And me — the youngest and only girl — became addicted at 23 despite seeing firsthand what drugs had already done to my family.

That’s the part people don’t understand about addiction. Sometimes you run straight into the very thing that destroyed the people you love.

My mother used to say my father would have to live long enough to witness the ruin caused in our family. She passed away in 2013, just 8 days before her 60th birthday, I believe she died of a broken heart, trying to save my brothers, as I had gotten my deliverance by then. My father died in 2021 at 79 years old with only a few years of sobriety.

Before he died, he would call me heartbroken, complaining about my brothers being homeless — living in a vacant parking garage after my mother was no longer here to protect them. Because he lived with his girlfriend in a 1 bedroom apartment, they couldn't live with him. He would bring them food and money, hurting because he couldn’t fix what had already been set in motion.

This is my WHY.

This is why I fight so hard for people battling addiction, homelessness, and hopelessness through Glass House Foundation. This work is personal for me. Every meal served, every bed offered, every addict encouraged, every homeless person shown compassion — I see my family in them.

The dream my brother mentions in this video was a dream I had about him dying from an overdose.

By God’s grace… he’s still here.🙏🏽❤️🦅

We are the generational curse breakers!
We're who our lineage has been waiting on.
