Some leaders don’t whisper.
They speak truth so loudly that history has to listen.

Fannie Lou Hamer was a sharecropper turned freedom fighter who risked her life to demand voting rights for Black Americans.

She helped found the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party and boldly declared:
🗣️ “I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired.”

Her message still matters today.

A 15-year-old girl took a stand.

Claudette Colvin refused to give up her seat on a segregated bus — nine months before Rosa Parks.
She wasn’t famous.
She wasn’t older.
She wasn’t “ready.”
She was simply brave.

Her courage helped spark the Montgomery Bus Boycott and reminded us that young voices have power.

Becoming Kings and Queens, Inc. is excited to launch the Rising Royals Program at Lewis Middle School — starting October 15th, 2025! 💜

🕓 Time: Wednesdays | 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM

This after-school leadership program helps students build confidence, teamwork, financial literacy, self-love, time management, and more — all while discovering their inner crown! 👸🤴

We’re looking for dynamic speakers to pour into our boys and girls programs each week.
If you have a story, life skill, or experience that can inspire middle school students — we’d love to have you!

🌟 The Making of a King & Making of a Queen – September Kickoff Recap! 🌟

Our 2025–2026 Becoming Kings and Queens journey officially began on September 27th, and we couldn’t be more proud of the energy, smiles, and support that filled the room! 💜

Although we had a smaller turnout for our first session, it was still a powerful start! We focused on Resilience, Identity, Sisterhood, and Empowerment — and one young Queen reminded us that even one voice can make a big impact. 👑✨

A huge thank you to Chick-fil-A for their generous donation that helped feed our students and volunteers — your partnership truly made the day special! 🍗❤️

We’re just getting started! 💪 Our next session will be held virtually on Saturday, October 25, 2025, and the topics are:

👸 Making of a Queen: Self-Worth & Confidence Building
