Posting - Direct Support Professional (DSP) 40 hours per week
Responsibilities:
• Assist in training individuals based upon ISP goals and objectives.
• Assist in monitoring specific ISP’s and programs.
• Supervise individuals within day programming facilities and/or within community settings or in a residential setting.
• Provide physical assistance to individuals per their ISP’s in the areas of self-care and mobility.
• Transportation of individuals operating a van, mini-bus, car/truck and the use of handicapped-accessible mechanical requirements of these vehicles including but not limited to a wheelchair lift.
Position Requirements:
• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver’s License
• Automobile Liability Insurance
• Good problem solving skills
• Ability to complete documentation accurately
• Good computer skills
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds frequently on a daily basis
• First Aid and CPR (will provide training if necessary)
• Annual training requirements as required by the Ohio Department of DD
• Skill in the operation of passenger vehicles such as but not limited to mini-buses (will train)
