Gables of Cape May County

Gables of Cape May County The gay group doing good for the entire community We believe in helping our neighbors and setting a positive example for the entire community.

We are GABLES, a gay group doing good for the entire community; whose purpose is to elevate the quality of life for our members, friends, neighbors and all those who surround us in this great big world. Throughout our existence, we have been know for our charitable works. We have raised considerable funds for local organizations such as Volunteers in Medicine and South Jersey Aids Alliance. We hav

e also been asked to participate in educational evens at local high schools as well as other events held by community organizations. Although, politics are not our primary focus, we have become a well known voice in the gay equality movement here in the New Jersey. Due to our community outreach, there have been many doors opened to us that otherwise would have remained closed and bolted. We are on a first name basis with many of our publicly elected officials. In short, we are just folks trying to make the world a better place starting right here at home; in our small patch of the Garden State.

What Would Meryl Do? is a one-man comic whirlwind about a desperate man in a small upstate town who decides to teach a class on how to live like Meryl Streep — because why not? Equality Cape May deserves a huge ‘Thank You’ for yesterday. Their incredible group of volunteers did an amazing job. This years theme “Unapologetically Us!" was definitely present. 🌈

As we catch our breath from an incredible Pride weekend, we want to say thank you.

Thank you to everyone who marched, attended, volunteered, donated, performed, shared our posts, supported our events, and helped make Pride possible.

What many people may not realize is that Equality Cape May is an all-volunteer organization. Every banner hung, table decorated, basket assembled, sign carried, social media post written, registration checked, and detail coordinated was made possible by community members who donated their time, energy, and talents to create something special.

That spirit of community is what makes Pride here so meaningful. We are deeply grateful to everyone who helped bring this celebration to life, and to everyone who showed up to celebrate with us.

We would like to extend special recognition to The Inn of Cape May, Regina & Jolli Holliday, and the many volunteers whose dedication made this event possible.

Additional thanks to our speakers, performers, community partners, municipal leaders, in-kind supporters, and gift basket and silent auction donors. Your generosity helped make Pride 2026 a success.

We're still gathering photos from the weekend and will be sharing more throughout the week, so stay tuned!

Thank you for helping us build a community where everyone belongs. 💜🏳️‍🌈
