Giving the gluten free bread making another chance. Really i'm giving myself a second chance. I didn't activate the yeast last time. If it comes out, I shall post a picture.

Making GF bread for my bae today. She said she was honored that I was doing this for us. My response was "Thanks, but it's just logical. I wanted to start making bread again and you need special bread."

She's an angel and there are so few times that I can do something for her. It is always her doing stuff for me. I'm the one that is honored that I can do something for her.

Anybody else out there that has a disability, hidden or not, that is so tired of not being able to help the ones they love?

I am angry! Why? I'm in the chair again. The pain was too much and I could not sleep, so you are the beneficiary of my early morning wisdom. This is short.

A few weeks ago, someone told me "we are all getting older." I did not respond. The phrase made me angry, but I couldn't respond. Why did that phrase rile me so? I think I finally know. I have a terminal illness. Getting old to me means giving up.

Giving up means I die quickly.

I'm not ready to give up. I'm not ready to "get old." I can only do what I can when I can. I have limitations. But, if "you are only as old as you feel" has any truth to it, then I'm twelve. Just ask my wife, she says I behave that age enough.

To all of you out there, don't give up. Keep living. Find your passion, even if it only is a mustard seed, and make it grow.

I won't and I expect that you won't either.

Soldier On.

Thanks for reading.

It's the Great Pumpkin! Come find yours and bring it home from the St Matthew's Episcopal Pumpkin Patch! It's the most sincere (and welcoming) patch you can find! There is no admission fee, photo opportunities are free, and the selection is great!

Albeit a stop-gap measure, providing fresh drinking water to folks down-river is a must.

Problems on the Mississippi River again as the level is now too low to keep the saltwater from backing upriver. The Army Corps is set to build a sill near Myrtle Grove to stop this upriver migration. No rise in the river is expected anytime soon.

I have considerable worries for the people everywhere, that are not prepared for the current hurricane season. With the chaos that was FEMA's response in Texas, the post-catastrophic hurricane crisis may be too much for many to handle.

I pray all will turn out well.
