IYKYK, Itβs TIME! After a lot of discussion with my family, Patricia Dupont Didier and I have decided to RETIRE our BAYOU BANDITS Volleyball CLUB. Itβs definitely a bittersweet decision. We have run the BBVB club for 36 yrs. Itβs one of the oldest clubs in the state and definitely the oldest in this area. All 4 of my daughters played BB and also coached. VB has given my family so much! 2 of my daughters, Allison Didier Leake (La. Ignite) and Rae Didier Broussard (Intense VB) have very successful clubs now. I would like to thank the many Parents, Coaches, and Players for being in our program. We have had some fantastic coaches over the 36 years of Bayou Bandits, to many to name but you know who you are. We have had thousands of young ladies come through Bandits with many becoming outstanding high school players and some going on to compete at the collegiate level. Our GOAL for BBVB was to develop players abilities and to teach the fundamentals of the game. Make them learn the game and become better players. I was not interested in going to Nationals every year. That was not our GOAL!!! I will continue our Skipper Picou Memorial/ Bayou Bandits Tournament at the Houma Civic Center. Huge successful tournament (85-100) teams each year. I hope the local clubs will come to show the awesome talent level in our community . I know the parents, grandparents, siblings, and friends would like to see the young ladies play without traveling to far. Here is a great opportunity for local clubs to show the talent level of our community. Our tournament will be January 18 & 19, 2025. We normally have our tournament in March but Mardi Gras interferes this year. Thank you all and I hope I played a small part in developing Volleyball in our Community. Love yβall. β€οΈ BANDITS STRONG!ππ
