We work continuously to bring Bayou families relief, assistance, and hope when impacted by disasters, emergencies, or unforeseen situations.

Disaster SNAP Now Available!!!

DSNAP has been approved for 25 parishes hit by Ida. The application and interview process will run in 3 phases and begin on Mon., Sept 20. Each phase will be for specific parishes. For the schedule of phases visit www.dcfs.la.gov/dsnap

Residents in affected areas are encouraged, but not required, to pre-register for DSNAP. To pre-register visit: http://dcfs.la.gov/page/dsnap-registration Pre-registered in the past year? You do not need to pre-register again.

Phase I will be Sept. 20- 25 for E. Baton Rouge, E. Feliciana, Iberia, Orleans, Pointe Coupee, St. Bernard, St. Tammany, Washington, W. Baton Rouge, and W. Feliciana.

Residents are to call 1-888-LA-HELP-U on a designated day, based on the first letter of last name. This schedule can be found at www.dcfs.la.gov/dsnap

If you receive SNAP benefits, you are not eligible for DSNAP and should not apply. SNAP recipients can find more info at http://www.dcfs.la.gov/snap You can always dial 211, 24 hours a day, for information on available help in your local community.

Hurricane Ida left a scar when it devastated our bayous when it hit land on Sunday, August 29, 2021. Here is the reason I decided to take action and help make a difference. Please join me and help support this cause.
