Happy Mother’s Day! 🌸

To all the moms who carry the load every single day — the ones feeding their children not only with meals, but with knowledge, wisdom, and love. To the moms figuring out broken appliances, ordering parts, and learning how to fix things on their own. To the mothers rebuilding their lives one day at a time with courage that no one always sees.

To the moms working long hours, stretching every dollar, and showing up tired but still showing up. To the single mothers, the grandmothers raising grandchildren, the bonus moms, the grieving moms, and the women who mother through love and sacrifice.

We see you.
We honor you.
We celebrate your strength, resilience, and unwavering commitment to your families and communities.

Today, we thank you for all the unseen work, the sleepless nights, the sacrifices, and the unconditional love.

As Jesus has risen, and we are spending the day reflecting, remember that we were not meant to carry the weight of the world.

Just like Jesus, we may have been beaten and broken to the point where we did not recognize ourselves. And just as Jesus was, you may have been mocked and ridiculed. You may have felt a tremendous burden on your shoulders.

However, as you continue to grow, take your own path, and walk this life. Remember this: Jesus carried the burden and made the ultimate sacrifice so we wouldn't have to.

"Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart., and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burdon is light."

Starting a non-profit and a for-profit business to help women rediscover themselves was never part of my plan after my divorce. In fact, I had no idea what the future held for me.

Here I am, six years later, traveling back to my birth state to connect with women and help them build the confidence they deserve. This journey feels like a full circle for me. I am here to present and create a space for others to explore and raise awareness of the life challenges that, while significant, are often temporary—provided we are willing to move forward.

It is an understatement to say that God has touched my life in more ways than I can explain. I may not have always made the best choices, but I understand that God didn't ask me to show up as a finished product. He said, "Come as you are, and acknowledge your faults." I have embraced that, and He continues to bless me.

When I created the Mariposa Foundation, I said that if I could help one woman at a time, I had done my job.

Today, I had my scheduled Saturday morning call with a woman who inspired me. Yes, she inspired me. You see, my goal with the foundation is help other women find a way back to themselves after life-altering events through personal development, financial wellness, spiritual growth, and health/fitness. In our first initial intake meeting, the one thing I tell them is that you must show up for yourself before you can show up for others.

This woman not only made a choice for herself, but she is walking in faith towards her destination. She shows up every Saturday, first and foremost for herself, then for the sessions. In these sessions, we work towards her future. We discuss her new opportunities, and she moves towards them. There are no excuses. No blaming. Only the movement of moving forward, and she holds herself accountable. She does her research and is transparent about how it affects her.

As we continue to work together, my heart is full. It is deeply gratifying to know that the foundation I created is making an impact on others. THIS. THIS is what it is all about.

Therefore, I leave you with this. You can talk about it all day long, and still be stuck in the same space. You MUST make a choice, a decision, and move towards it. Only YOU can make that movement. 🦋

🎄Sometimes the greatest gift we can give to someone is to be present. Give them hope, and recognize that they, too, are loved.

Today, the Mariposa Foundation donated goody bags for the residents of Women's Restoration. These ladies will spend one year at the facility where they will work, have bible studies, and restore their lives from addiction.

Thank you, Women's Restoration, for allowing my foundation to be a part of your organization—also, a special thank you to LaToya Walters for being my special elf. Not only did she show up to help, but she was placed on the spot to give an impromptu reflection of her own journey. There were tears, laughs, and an actual moment of gratitude.

We are all here on this earth for a reason. Find your purpose and give wholeheartedly to a mission that is placed in your heart.

🍁During this time of year, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude to all who have encouraged, supported, and demonstrated authenticity throughout my journey.

This life is not always easy, but I know that God always has a purpose for us, and he is using me to share my strengths. The journey to your ultimate objective is one of ups and downs, self-doubt, and resistance. Not everyone will understand your mission, but what matters is what you think of it. Always stand up for yourself.
