🏴‍☠️ MEET THE PIRATES!
What's a Pirates & Boots Festival without a few pirates taking over Houma? ⚓
We're excited to welcome back the Leviathans of Devil's Bayou – Local 985 South, who bring their pirate crew and pirate camp to life for festival guests!
These scallywags are always a favorite—especially with our younger festivalgoers. Be sure to stop by their camp, say ahoy, snap a few photos and see what kind of pirate mischief they're getting into. ☠️

💚🌊 THIS is what community pride looks like! 👏

A HUGE shoutout to Coco Marina and the approximately 25 volunteers who came together for a Bayou Cleanup in Cocodrie! 🦀♻️

Their hard work removed an incredible amount of roadside debris, helping protect our beautiful coastal community and waterways.

At Keep Terrebonne Beautiful, we love seeing local businesses and residents take the initiative to make a difference! It’s a reminder that you don’t have to wait for an organized event to make an impact.

👏 Thank you to everyone who volunteered their time and energy! Your efforts are making Terrebonne Parish a cleaner, greener, and more beautiful place to call home!

💚 Together, We Can Keep Terrebonne Beautiful!

🌱💚 GREAUXING GREEN STARTS YOUNG!

A cleaner, greener Louisiana doesn't just happen — we teach it, practice it and pass it on.

Greauxing Green, a program of Keep Louisiana Beautiful, helps bring environmental education into Louisiana classrooms and gives young people opportunities to learn about caring for the world around them.

Here in Terrebonne Parish, we believe our youngest residents can make a BIG difference! 💙

We can help kids learn to:

🚯 Understand why litter hurts our communities
♻️ Reduce waste and recycle responsibly
🌊 Protect our bayous and waterways
🌱 Care for the environment around them
🧤 Take action to make their schools and neighborhoods cleaner

And the best part? These are lessons they can carry with them for a lifetime.

👩‍🏫 Teachers, parents and community leaders: Let's work together to raise a generation that takes pride in keeping Terrebonne beautiful!

🦞 Pincher says: “You're never too young to make a difference!”

🌱 Teach it. Practice it. Pass it on.

💙 Keep Terrebonne Beautiful.

💚🌎 A Cleaner Terrebonne Starts With ALL of Us!

We love seeing these signs going up throughout Terrebonne Parish! 👏

Thanks to the partnership between Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government, Keep Louisiana Beautiful, and Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser’s office, 40 new litter enforcement signs are helping remind everyone that littering and illegal dumping have consequences!

🚯 Littering and illegal dumping don’t just hurt the appearance of our community — they impact our waterways, wildlife, and the places we call home.

📞 See someone littering or illegally dumping? Report it to 855-LA-LITTER (855-525-4883).

A big THANK YOU to everyone involved in making this happen! Together, we can make a difference and Keep Terrebonne Beautiful! 💚

🌊💚 Protecting Our Waterways, Preserving Our Way of Life!

Keep Terrebonne Beautiful is proud to be part of the conversation surrounding the importance of removing abandoned and derelict vessels from our waterways!

We were honored to participate in the upcoming BoatUS Foundation documentary highlighting these efforts and the impact they have on our community.

👏 A huge thank you to Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government and the BoatUS Foundation for their continued commitment to restoring and protecting our beautiful bayous.

Our waterways are more than just part of our landscape — they’re part of our culture, our economy, and our way of life. Every vessel removed is another step toward a cleaner, safer, and more beautiful Terrebonne Parish!

💚 Cleaner Bayous. Stronger Communities. A More Beautiful Terrebonne!

🛻💨 PINCHER’S TIP: SECURE YOUR LOAD!

Heading down the road with a truck bed or trailer full of stuff? Take an extra minute before you leave to make sure everything is secured!

Loose trash, boxes, yard debris and other items can blow out along the way — turning into roadside litter that can eventually make its way into our ditches, bayous and waterways. 🌊

Before you hit the road:

✅ Tie it down. Secure loose items with straps, ropes or netting.
✅ Cover it up. Use a tarp when hauling loose materials.
✅ Bag it right. Make sure trash bags are securely closed and contained.
✅ Check your load. Take one last look before pulling away.

🦞 Pincher says: “If you’re hauling it, make sure you’re not losing it!”

A few extra minutes can help keep litter off our roads and out of our waterways.

🛻 SECURE YOUR LOAD.
🚯 STOP LITTER BEFORE IT STARTS.

♻️ This November, Terrebonne Parish is going GREEN! 💚
Keep Terrebonne Beautiful is celebrating America Recycles Month throughout November—and we want YOU to join us!
America Recycles is about more than putting something in a recycling bin. It's about building better everyday habits: learning what can be recycled locally, reducing what we throw away, reusing what we can, and giving materials a second life.
Throughout the month, we'll be sharing:
♻️ Simple recycling tips
💡 Recycling facts & myth-busters
🌎 Easy ways to reduce waste
📅 Local recycling and donation opportunities
💚 Ways YOU can take action right here in Terrebonne Parish
And mark your calendars! We'll wrap up our celebration with Keep Terrebonne Beautiful's America Recycles Day community event on Saturday, November 21!
Follow along as we Recycle Right. Reduce Waste. Make a Difference.
👇 Tell us in the comments: What's one thing you already recycle or reuse regularly?

🌧️🗑️ WHERE DOES LITTER GO?

That cup on the roadside doesn't always stay on the roadside.

When litter is left on our streets, parking lots and roadsides, wind and rain can carry it into:

➡️ Ditches
➡️ Storm drains
➡️ Canals & bayous
➡️ Our waterways 🌊

And here in Terrebonne Parish, our water is part of who we are. 💙

One simple way to help protect it?

🚯 Stop litter before it starts.

🗑️ Put trash where it belongs.
💨 Secure garbage so it can't blow away.
🧤 Pick up litter when you safely can.
🚗 Keep a trash bag in your vehicle.
🌊 Help keep storm drains and ditches litter-free.

The piece of litter you pick up today could be the piece that never reaches our waterways tomorrow.

🦞 Pincher says: “If it's on the ground, it can make its way downstream!”
