If you’re joining us on the water, please bring your own boat and properly fitted life preserver/PFD.

🌧️ LITTER DOESN’T JUST STAY ON THE GROUND.

When rain falls, litter left along our streets, parking lots and neighborhoods can wash toward storm drains — clogging drainage systems and making its way into our bayous and waterways. 🌊

During hurricane season, we can all do our part:

🗑️ Put trash where it belongs.
🍃 Keep storm drains clear of litter and debris.
🚯 Pick up litter before the rain carries it away.
💧 Help keep our bayous and waterways clean.

🌊 It’s National Beach Day!

Here in Terrebonne Parish, protecting our shores means protecting the bayous, waterways and coastal areas that are such an important part of our way of life. 💙

Whether you're fishing, boating or spending the day near the water, pack out what you bring in, pick up litter when you see it and never leave trash behind. 🚯

Every piece of litter we keep off the ground is one less piece that can make its way into our waterways.

📢 🎈 ♻️ The balloon release ban takes effect on August 1!

Beginning this Saturday, individuals who intentionally release 12 or more balloons outdoors in Louisiana will face penalities under our anti-littering statutes. Released balloons often end up as litter in our waterways, roads, and communities, harming wildlife and creating unnecessary pollution. To celebrate milestones or honor loved ones, consider alternatives like blowing bubbles or flying kites.
