There’s something powerful about the number 12. Biblically, 12 represents order, purpose, and leadership and this year, we’re celebrating 12 years of creating opportunities for young people through art.

Being a small, grassroots organization isn’t easy especially in times when violence is increasing and unhealthy choices can seem normalized. That’s exactly why we must keep creating new avenues for our youth, building healthy habits, and giving them positive ways to express themselves.

We believe art is one of those avenues.

12 years later, we’re still creating. Still believing. Still investing in our youth.

Birth of an Artist 2026 Come celebrate the journey.

BIRTH OF AN ARTIST - MORE THAN AN ART SHOW!

Today, I had the opportunity to speak with students at Langston Elementary Leadership Academy about the upcoming 12th Annual Birth of an Artist, happening December 5th at the Hot Springs Convention Center.

I want people to understand that Birth of an Artist is about much more than one night of beautiful artwork. It is a celebration of the work Cutwell 4 Kids (C4K) pours into our youth throughout the entire year.

With limited funding, C4K continues to provide organic mentorship, along with support and counseling services for troubled youth, opportunities for artistic expression, and partnerships that help young people make healthier choices.

I’m especially proud of the Drug Free Youth Coalition and the opportunities it provides for students to have a voice, develop leadership skills, serve their community, and encourage one another to make positive, drug-free choices.

So when you purchase a ticket, support an artist, sponsor the event, or simply show up on December 5th, you are supporting much more than an art show. You are supporting a village that believes in our children.
