Thanks to Susan Harper, we had a visit from the ghost of Verna Garvan, who gave us her story from taking over her Father’s businesses, two marriages, buying property on Lake Hamilton and guaranteeing the property would always be a public garden.

Garland County MG’s & City of HS Parks & Recreation hosted a free educational event today at the HS Xeriscape Garden along the greenway trail. Our members met with many people enjoying a morning walk & numerous visitors from out of state attending the Birding Conference! Everyone enjoyed the baked goods & seed packets. Joe Sturgill & Marsha Oliver graciously designed gorgeous table settings for the event.
