Staying Ahead for Getting Ahead Alumni Hot Springs Getting Ahead is a learning process that leads you step by step through a unique process of personal discovery.

It's not just how you got where you are now, but also about the next step in creating the life you want. Bridge to Hope is a local initiative that helps people in the community reach their full potential. It focuses on empowering those in poverty to investigate the barriers in the community that keep people from getting ahead and educates the entire community on the complexities of poverty. Using

the concepts developed by Dr. Ruby Payne, Phil DeVol and Terri Dreussi Smith in their book Bridges Out of Poverty the initiative seeks to empower those in poverty to identify and use the abilities they already have to solve their own problems through analyzing their realities. One of the tools used to empower people living in poverty is the program, “Getting Ahead in a Just Getting’ By World” Staying Ahead was created to inform and encourage Getting Ahead graduates from Hot Springs, AR.
