Coagulations Captain Cosgrove on 30 YEARS of service at the Garland County Detention Center! ❤
Please join me in congratulating Captain Cosgrove on 30 YEARS of service at the Garland County Detention Center! 👏 🙏 🤲
I met Captain Cosgrove nearly nine years ago, and during that time she has been nothing but a pleasure to serve alongside.
Captain is a little bit of a boss, a mom, and a great friend all rolled into one! 😊 She always says, “I’m not your boss.” 🙂
She has been a longtime board member of the ministry she knows that if she asks me for something, she will never have to ask twice. It’s done. I have tremendous respect for her. She knows I love her and would do anything for her.
Over the years, I have personally watched Captain Cosgrove build the programs at the Detention Center into what they are today. Currently, there are MULTIPLE programs operating seven days and seven nights a week giving the residents multiple opportunities to change the direction of their lives and receive the help they need. She has done a great job!
Captain strongly believes in rehabilitation. She is always willing to listen to an idea if it has the potential to better the lives of the residents. The detainees know she is vested in their lives and future.
What says the most about her is what I have heard from residents themselves.
Through the years, several residents have personally told me about things Captain has done that most people would never know about, such as taking children to ball games, practices, and helping families when a parent was detained. She has no idea I know these things. I guess I was saving them for now. I have heard many residents compliment her through the years. That tells you something about her heart. Sometimes I think her heart is bigger than her body! ❤️
BUT…make no mistake about it when the hammer needs to come down, she knows how to put it down and it’s a heavy one! 😊
Captain Belinda Cosgrove congratulations on 30 incredible years of service!
Thank you for your leadership, your compassion, your friendship, and the thousands of lives you have impacted along the way. Great job!
You are greatly respected, deeply appreciated, and loved here in the detention center and in our hearts. We love you! ♥️
