Good afternoon! It was brought to my attention our donation feature was not working through our website. If anyone has tried donating recently or in the last couple of months through the website we likely did not receive it. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. This should be fixed now and ready to accept donations! 💰

Reminder we are raising 💥$5,000.00💥 for Emy’s 5 year anniversary in heaven! This funding is for a specific research project through New York University Medical Center where we are enrolled for research into the cause of Emy’s death and for prevention in the future. Our Board meets with the Research Scientists overseeing this project on the 29th and I will have more details to provide. This project impacts Emy’s case directly and the other children lost to SUDC. This money is used to pay for the lab fees to process the proteins needing analyzed. The full $5,000 covers this cost. They are ready to LAUNCH it but lack funding.

Happy 6th birthday my precious baby girl!!! I wish more than anything you were here so we could celebrate. My heart longs to hold you and see you.

We celebrated your birthday last night Emy. Mommy made your cake and your cousins decorated it. We sang happy birthday and the boys blew out your candles. We wrote you messages on balloons and sang “You Are My Sunshine” while releasing them. We had dinner and mommy made homemade ice cream for the first time since it was one of your favorites. Mommy was surrounded by family while we celebrated you. We all miss you more than anything. Celebrate big with Jesus today! I can’t wait to celebrate one day in heaven with you.

Emy’s bonus sis and dad, Amanda Ferrell and Zack Ferrell went with me last night to put new flowers out and balloons. For this to be her place of rest it was beautiful last night. I haven’t been at nighttime and the firework sparkles someone left were a beautiful touch.

We want to introduce our newest Board member, Phillip Nahas! He is Emy’s uncle and the one who wrote Emy’s challenge. 💜 Below is his Bio:

“My wife, Amanda and I live in Hot Springs, AR. We've been blessed with two kids, Madison and Logan. I have been in healthcare since 2001 and a registered nurse since 2005. I specialize in both emergency nursing and trauma care with advanced certifications in both. I am currently the System Trauma Program Manager at Baptist Health.

I am also blessed to be Emy's uncle. She was an absolute blessing to all who knew her, especially her Mommy and Daddy. Emy radiated life, giant smiles, big hugs, and the most adorable laugh. She loved everything with a heartbeat and Jesus.

In the weeks after Emy’s passing, we learned her death was classified as SUDC (Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood). Working in healthcare, I was very aware of SIDS but had never heard of SUDC. We hope to honor Emy’s life by living and loving others like Jesus and raising awareness and support of SUDC research.”

We are so thankful he joined our foundation and the passion he carries along with the love he has for Emy. 💜☀️💜

Thank you Tami Gudinas Hill, Madeline Burrow, and Marissa Clark for buying days on the calendar! We are at 67.4% towards our goal of 100% on May 31st!

💜100% of the proceeds from the May calendar fundraiser will go towards monetary stipends to help newly bereaved parents on an as needed basis.💜

We are also at 32% of our goal to sell 50 shirts this month! Back story on the shirt design. Emy’s Aunt Donna Worrell took the sunset picture just a few months after Emy passed away. This is at Lake Degray. Notice the cross on the water!?!? Emy was my sunshine (and still is) and I always say “Sunshine In My Soul” because I have her in my heart forever and the “SON-shine in my soul. The design of this shirt is so powerful to me and one of my favorites!! 💜☀️💜

You know those moments the Holy Spirit tugs at your heart strings so much it brings you to tears?? Well…here I am…🥹…and here is what He laid on my heart just a little while ago…

Just a few days ago a family lost their daughter tragically and unexpectedly and it has ripped my heart to pieces. Same age as Emy and so beautiful!

💜 I truly cannot think of a better way this month to honor Emy, my sunshine, the beat of my heart, the most beautiful, loving, and caring soul the Lord blessed me with, than to raise money for a family who just lost theirs.💜

Our May Calendar Fundraiser will now be to support families who have lost a child in Arkansas. 100% of the proceeds raised from buying a day for $30 will go towards our foundation assisting families with costs accrued from such a devastating loss. This is something I’ve wanted to do for a very long time because we were so blessed by family, friends, our church, and many strangers when Emy passed away.

The financial strain of everyday bills don’t stop, PTO runs out, FMLA pays a percentage and runs out, medical bills start coming depending on the circumstances and you’re already trying to make it one second and one breath at a time much less plan a funeral for the very beat of your heart.

If you have read this far, thank you. I’m asking from a grieving mommas heart for you all to stop and think about what you would do if this was your baby, gone too soon. Please join this special opportunity this month to celebrate Emy’s 6th birthday by helping us love these families grieving too. 💜☀️💜
