UPDATED: WIS 54 closure limits extended in Outagamie and Waupaca counties due to flooding
Multiple road closures remain due to flooding in Northeast Wisconsin.

(Green Bay, WI) This is an immediate traffic alert. Multiple highways in Manitowoc, Shawano, Outagamie, and Waupaca counties remain closed in both directions due to flooding. Flood waters can cover roadways quickly and recede quickly. Motorists can check 511wi.gov to see real-time flooding impacts.

The timeline for reopening these roads remains unknown, as river levels are still cresting, and additional rain is forecast through the weekend. Many roadways throughout the region are impacted by these peak river levels and when the rivers recede. We are closely monitoring the roadways and river levels and will reopen them as soon as it is safe to do so.
ACTIVE CLOSURES

UPDATED: WIS 54 OUTAGAMIE AND WAUPACA COUNTIES: WIS 54 is currently closed in both directions from Northport (Waupaca County) to Black Creek (Outagamie County) due to flooding. The closure now extends through the New London area after Waupaca County closed the highway at County D on the north side of New London. Because of this, the previous detour through Outagamie County (using County M to S to 47) is no longer available.

• Regional Detour: Motorists on WIS 54 coming from the east/west are advised to use US 10 to I-41 to WIS 47 as a regional detour route to avoid the area completely.
o If the destination is somewhere in between Waupaca and Black Creek, motorist can continue on and use the localized detour shown on map below.
• Local Detour: Motorists are advised to use the following local detour:
o Eastbound traffic on WIS 54 will exit at WIS 110/22. North on WIS 110/22 to WIS 22. East on WIS 22 to US 45. North on US 45 to WIS 22. North on WIS 22 to WIS 156. East on WIS 156 to WIS 47. South on WIS 47 back to WIS 54.
 Westbound traffic will reverse these directions.
• Please note that US 45 north and south of New London remains closed due to a separate construction project.
• River levels are still cresting, with additional rain forecast through the weekend, so the timeline for reopening WIS 54 is currently unknown.
• Outagamie County has created a map to assist local resident travel. The map is embedded at the end of this news release.
