It just keeps getting worse and worse! Adoptions are down everywhere and the surrenders/dumped dogs are out of control. How can anyone keep up with the demand?!

BARC is not an intake shelter. We are a foster based rescue that can only help pull dogs with fosters. If you are interested in helping save a life by fostering, I'm happy to answer questions or concerns!

Raise your hand if you have ever seen a dog dying from heart worms? 🤚🏻

The reality we face is how easily transmitted heart worms are to your dog through mosquitos, who are the Georgia state bird! 🦟

Monthly/quarterly/yearly preventative medication is the only answer to keep your pet safe from this terrible deadly disease. 🦾

The cost of the medication is a fraction of the cost of treatment, if your dog is even treatable once you discover they have heartworms.

The amount of dogs we take in with heartworms is more often than not and we are typically shocked when they test negative!

Y'all are amazing!!! We did it! Bubba is sponsored by our amazing donors and the amount is covered!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Friends! We need your help! 🫣 Thankfully not as expensive as some cases recently!

One of Dahlis puppies has an umbilical hernia, which can be common in puppies, but Bubbas is life threatening if not removed soon!

Originally it wasn't too big and would have been removed during his neuter, however, it has decided to get dangerously big in the last week which put foster mom Rebecca Jacks - BARC Volunteer into fast action!

Dr. Cheek, from Cheek to Cheek vet in Brunswick, met Bubba today and agrees that it needs to be removed ASAP because it can tangle his intestines. Thankfully he is giving the Brantley Animal Rescue Coalition (B.A.R.C) a $100 discount!

I'm hoping 27 of my amazing followers can call Cheek to Cheek and donate $20 towards Bubbas surgery. The number is 912-262-6851 and the client ID is 26623. Adoptions are sooo slow and those are what keeps the rescue going including cases like Bubba. I have added the bill which includes the client ID that you will need so the funds go towards Bubba.

I'm going to keep tabs on the balance to ensure we don't raise more than needed! Cheek to Cheek should not collect anything if the balance is covered.

Bubba will recover and go on to live a normal life! He is still available for adoption (but can't go home until after surgery!)

BARc is reintroducing Seiko!!

This beagle mix is such a chill little guy! 🐾❤️ He loves snuggling up with his siblings just as much as he enjoys playing with them. He’s the perfect mix of playful and laid-back—and you can regularly find him snoozing right next to the water bowl! 😂💤💦 He’s one sweet, easygoing boy who is sure to steal your heart. 🥰
