👋 We have so many first timers to shout out. Welcome Andrew, Joyce, Scott, Marquis, Denise, Eunice, Sonora, Nyah, Ellen, Joanna, Kaylah, and Trey! And thanks to you all for bringing the energy and cheers, it was so much fun welcoming you to the parkrun family!

But today wasn’t just about the runners who showed up — it was a celebration of everyone who has been part of Lukens over the past year. Whether you walked, jogged, ran, volunteered, cheered, or simply believed in us… YOU made this community awesome. 🌟

So tomorrow Saturday August 29th we celebrate our 1st year!

Looking back what a fun year first year we had.
We ran, we walked, we volunteered, we wore Tutu's, some of the mad ones even dressed up in silly costumes.

We welcomed tourists, introduced first timers to parkrun and shared weekends with our big sister Peace Valley parkrun

So here's a quick stroll down memory lane before we all get together to celebrate tomorrow morning. See you all at 9am.

Lukens parkrun #45 - Tutu Edition
What a wonderful morning for a run, walk or stroll in the park! It was great seeing everyone come out and put on their best tutus on the 22nd! As one of our participants said "Look good, feel good, play good!"
First off, well done to Joshua and Rob for setting PBs on our course!
And welcome to our first timer Ken, we're so glad you came out and joined us this week.
We also were happy to welcome George and Timi, who are itinerant parkrunners touring all of the wonderful parkruns in the Philly, New Jersey, New York corridor. We're so happy we could host you.
As always, we also want to thank all our volunteers who helped out this week, including Pete, who looked spectacular in his newly acquired 25th Volunteer sash and matching tutu!
Finally, don't forget, next week is our one year anniversary! We'll be hanging out afterwards in the park with some coffee, pastries and refreshments, so we'd love to see you all if you can stick around. Until next Saturday, have a wonderful week everyone.
