These are some of the folks who came to Horse Branch representing Happy Feet. Seventeen of our students were gifted new shoes and socks. The smiles on the children's faces were priceless. Thank you for serving others.

Last year was the first time that this Family Resource Coordinator became acquainted with Happy Feet. My heart was full as I witnessed the way they worked together to ensure each child felt the gift of love. The shoes were the bonus. My heart was so humbled.

Since that day, if a need arises, I know that the folks at Happy Feet will gladly assist. Thank you for blessing not only our school, but for enhancing the lives of those around you. My cup runneth over.

Reminder, if your child is going to the wellness center today, please send a swimming suit and towel. If your child has a favorite lifejacket, he/she may bring it.

K, 1st, 2nd, 5th, and 6th grade students were gifted toothpaste (family size) and a toothbrush. 3rd and 4th grades will be getting these as well. We wanted to help promote proper dental hygiene. If you don't want or need the toothbrush, gift it. The 5th and 6th grade students were also gifted deoderant. This wasn't a necessity gift at all. We simply want to promote good hygiene. As students get older, and the weather begins to get warmer, having an extra deoderant in the backpack can help boost self- confidence, too. Again, if you would like to re-gift, please do so. We want to be an asset to the whole child and your family in every way. I always told my families when I taught middle school, that my goal was to teach math, but to also educate the whole child. Preparation for the future is more than a content mastery. Real life skills and healthy living are invaluable. Thank you for all you do, daily, to ensure your child is prepared for the day.

If your child came home with a book from the Book Fair, it was a blessing from your HBES FRC. We drew 20 names that received a $15 voucher to spend. If your child would like to gift the voucher, feel free. If your child gets a book and would like to share it, be our guest. HBES and your FRC want to be a blessing to our families while promoting good reading habits. It never hurts to share and care for others. We are...HORSE BRANCH!!!
