The Salvation Army, Hornell Outpost

The Salvation Army, Hornell Outpost Put a present under a tree today. And a roof over someone’s head tomorrow. We love God and serve others because we want others to come to know God’s love too.

Most people know The Salvation Army for our Red Kettles, our Angel Trees, and our strong presence during the holiday season, but we support local families all throughout the year. The Salvation Army, founded in 1865, is an international religious and charitable movement organized and operated on a quasi-military pattern and is a branch of the Christian church. Its membership includes officers (cle

rgy), soldiers/adherents (laity), members of varied activity groups and volunteers who serve as advisors, associates and committed participants in its service function. Our Motivation
At its heart, The Salvation Army is a church whose mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination. Every program we offer is rooted in our passion for serving God by serving the lost, the vulnerable, the needy, the poor, the hurting, the helpless, and the hopeless.
