Hornbeck Community Craft Night
When: Thursday, November 18th @ 6pm
Where: Hornbeck Optimist Club

🎨 Tiffany Lora will be leading us in painting a Christmas canvas!
🎨$10 gets your painting and food!
(Chicken salad sandwich, chips, pickle, dessert and a drink)

Well around the corner is Hornbeck High School Homecoming November 12. We will have a parade at 2 o’clock. I would love to have the biggest Best Parade ever. This year we are Honoring the classes ending in 0 and 1. Since we are Honoring two years we will have two Grand Marshalls, Lavern Phelps Williams with the Class of 1940 and Kenneth Jones with the Class of 1961. This would have been my husband’s 50th year as the class of 1971. He won’t be able attend since God called him home in 2014 but if God has Blessed you with a another Year despite Covid take advantage of life and reconnect with friends. If you would like to enter a Float or a vehicle especially old vehicles we all enjoy as they remind us of Good Years gone by please TEXT me tell me who you are and what you plan to enter and I will add you to my contact list and to the Parade line up. That is Brenda Hilton 337-353-5583. My phone is set to silence unknown callers to avoid teleMarketers. This year’s Theme is “Out of this World” space related. I am so excited I can hardly wait. Optimist will be sponsoring a Homecoming Dance at Celebrations this year on Saturday the 13th for our High Students and Tickets should be ready soon and I will announce when they are ready to purchase. Mark your calendar, make plans now can’t wait to see you.

WOW! We had a great trade Days and we look forward to next year Saturday Oct 1st, 2022. The Optimist are Blessed to have a husband wife team, Devin and Lindsey Desjardins. They are GREAT WORKERS. Devin spent several days mowing, cutting tree limbs, removing old rotten wood, pressure washing the club buildinghelping get everything set up, and getting into a yellow jacket nest always with a smile on this face. Lindsey painted the entire inside of the club building, organized trade Days, sold lunches, raffle tickets etc and did lots of public relations. They are definate keepers. We want to thank everyone who helped even those who are not optimist we appreciate you so much. We appreciate all of the vendors and customers who came out today, without you it would have been impossible. We thank the singers who came today and did a great job making Trade Days so special. It was so wonderful to see all of the people from this wonderful community coming together and fellowshipping. It was lots of fun. Thank you Thank you Thank you.
