Session 10: What is Beautiful?
A couple lessons ago we talked about self-worth so we dove a little deeper today. We touched on how media and entertainment often show us unrealistic beauty standards and how self-worth is not tied to how you look.
We even watched a quick video of how photo editing, filters, and AI can make something appear “better”. We finished our lesson with an exercise that helped participants discover what truly makes them BIO (beautiful, inside and out) and sent them off with our mantra: NO FILTERS NEEDED! 🤍

WEAR YOUR BIO GIRLS PARTICIPANT SHIRT!
Wear Tennis Shoes!
Dress accordingly for weather
As you finish the race, please stay with a mentor and/or Site Director until everyone has crossed the finish line.
Caregiver Information
Do not take your BIO Girl prior to dismissal. This is for everyone’s safety. There is a short recognition ceremony after all participants have finished the race. Please do not leave until after this.
When picking up your BIO Girl, please let the Site Director/ mentor know you are leaving.
Come ready to cheer for the participants! They have worked so hard this season.
Please feel free to make signs, bring pom-poms, cowbells, bubbles, noisemakers, etc. to cheer our girls on!!
After the run, please join us at the Main Shelter for a quick medal ceremony!
