Meet West Overton Distillery and Village! Our Whiskey Rebellion bus tour on November 1 will include a special whiskey tasting event that evening, hosted by our friends at West Overton Distilling (part of the historic 19th-century West Overton Village museum in Westmoreland County). West Overton Distilling preserves the tradition of whiskey distilling in western Pennsylvania, and especially that begun by early settler Henry Overholt in the early 1800s. The Overholts produced Monongahela Rye, a local whiskey named after the river. The whiskey tasting will highlight the distilling process that produces its deep, rich, and full-bodied flavor.
