Rejoice in the LORD, you righteous ones;
praise from the upright is beautiful.

Praise the LORD with the lyre;
make music to Him with a ten-stringed harp.

Sing a new song to Him;
play skillfully on the strings, with a joyful shout.

For the word of the LORD is right,
and all His work is trustworthy.
He loves righteousness and justice;
the earth is full of the LORD’s unfailing love.

The heavens were made by the word of the LORD,
and all the stars, by the breath of His mouth.
He gathers the waters of the sea into a heap;[a]
He puts the depths into storehouses.

Let the whole earth tremble before the LORD;

For He spoke, and it came into being;
He commanded, and it came into existence.

The LORD frustrates the counsel of the nations;
He thwarts the plans of the peoples.
The counsel of the LORD stands forever,
the plans of His heart from generation to generation.
Happy is the nation whose God is Yahweh—
the people He has chosen to be His own possession!

The LORD looks down from heaven;
He observes everyone.
He gazes on all the inhabitants of the earth
from His dwelling place.
He alone shapes their hearts;
He considers all their works.

A king is not saved by a large army;
a warrior will not be delivered by great strength.
The horse is a false hope for safety;
it provides no escape by its great power.

Now the eye of the LORD is on those who fear Him—
those who depend on His faithful love
to deliver them from death
and to keep them alive in famine.

We wait for Yahweh;
He is our help and shield.
For our hearts rejoice in Him
because we trust in His holy name.

What is a man to do?
Open the Word of God. Armor up and stand up.

- Finally, be strengthened by the Lord and by His vast strength. Put on the full armor of God so that you can stand against the tactics of the Devil. For our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world powers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens. This is why you must take up the full armor of God, so that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having prepared everything, to take your stand. Stand, therefore,
with truth like a belt around your waist,
righteousness like armor on your chest,
and your feet sandaled with readiness
for the gospel of peace.
In every situation take the shield of faith,
and with it you will be able to extinguish
all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
Take the helmet of salvation,

Here at history’s peak of technology, medicine, material abundance, and information our godless generation is awash in madness, lies, murder, butchery, riot, rage, and grief as the fruit of its futile labor in every nation on earth.

There is another Way. Not of this world, but of God. This Way is found in Christ Jesus.

He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. He is man’s Prize, Portion, and Peace.

Read the Scriptures for yourselves my friends, and taste and see how good He is.

12 Therefore, God’s chosen ones, holy and loved, put on heartfelt compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience, 13 accepting one another and forgiving one another if anyone has a complaint against another. Just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you must also forgive. 14 Above all, put on love—the perfect bond of unity. 15 And let the peace of the Messiah, to which you were also called in one body, control your hearts. Be thankful. 16 Let the message about the Messiah dwell richly among you, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, and singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, with gratitude in your hearts to God. 17 And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. – Colossians 3:12-17
