Exciting to see the innovative Pollinator Project with it's Variety Show and two pre-launch creative workshops kick-off for the benefit of our community. Open to anyone -- teens to seniors -- in the MetroWest community with anything from just a spark of an idea or performance ready concept to come to these Creative Workshops, spur your ideas, or create new ones together. The theme: Creatively conveying the importance of pollinator gardens (native plants and pollinating insects) today through different perspectives. This is a student-led initiative with the support of many community organizations. Come join us... March 8, March 28 for the Creative Workshops and/or on May 17 for the big show -- all at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts.

What a week!!!! Our Imagine Corps 2025 teen cohort was amazing — bright, creative, kind. They soaked up the tools, built boats, built bridges, and built relationships… And came up with a COOL concept for helping town sustainability leaders spread the “Why” for pollinator gardens. Stay tuned. Buzz buzz buzz!!! 🐝

Thanks to sponsors and community partners for helping us make this a success … for our teens and for our Metrowest towns!!!

IC 2024 - Imagine Corps for Middle School teens -- here we come! Thanks to Vineyard Power and Vineyard Wind for making Imagine Corps their Climate Action learning program for 8th graders in 2024.

We had two cohorts -- one at the West Tisbury School and one at Martha's Vineyard Public Charter School. Both worked with MV Climate Action Task Force leaders Ben Robinson and Liz Durkee on ways to reduce fossil fuel consumption on the island. Each cohort chose its own focus.

One created several concepts for an all-electric transportation system, including eScooters, an eTram, a virtual mapping of all stops on the island, and "Climate Coins" for payment.

The other invented a sustainable food event that would bring the entire island together for a "Fish for A Day -- Food for All" to feed those who need it while learning sustainable practices.

Creativity and youth -- a powerful combination for making a difference!

IC 2023 - We had our first cohort with an already formed group of teen - the Rotary Club of St Thomas, and, in particular, their teen Interact Club at the Ivanna Eudora Kean High School. Our summer Imagine Corps work together "defining their voice" -- their brand identity, values, and story -- led to a year of fundraising and activities to achieve their big ambitions. Thanks to Rotary Club advisors Deborah Jackson and Scott Tanner for participating right along and securing grants to bring Imagine Corps to St Thomas.

IC 2022 - We went big with three cohorts, including our first in-person cohort and two virtual ones that matched youth across the country.

Our in-person cohort teens helped Kate DeVane invent experiential ways to integrate the new Island Autism Center into the Martha's Vineyard community.

And the two virtual cohorts paired Hopkinton with Dayton, Ohio, teens, and paired St Thomas USVI with Martha's Vineyard teens. Both cohorts designed an ideal future hybrid learning week. Amazing connections... and even more amazing concepts like "Possibility School".

Thanks to our sponsors Vineyard Futureworks and the Collaborative Innovation Institute, these were 100% free to island families.

IC 2021 - We welcomed Jack Nealon and Live4Evan to Imagine Corps. Live4Evan provides temporary housing solutions for families of children with congenital heart disease traveling to Boston hospitals.

Challenge: Our Imagine Corps teens helped “Develop a sustainable way for Live4Evan families to easily and personally communicate their experience to future cardiac families.”

Concept: A digital "Heart Full Forum" concept that could connect them.

IC 2020 - Our first summer in 2020 was right at the start of COVID. In the resilient spirit of Imagine Corps, we pivoted to virtual and helped Project Just Because(PJB) and Cherylann Walsh create ideas for fundraising the move to a statewide Food Pantry. Thank you, Cherylann, for starting our journeys together and trusting the creative potential of youth!!!

What would happen if we asked our teens to help us solve the challenges in our communities today?

😎 You’ve got or are a high school teen who would like to apply their imagination for a great cause while getting an edge on school and life.

🌳 You work for a non-profit and would like to engage the energy and bright minds of teens to help you solve a problem.

Sign up for a free 1 hour “Taste of Imagine Corps” session, invite a teen and help make a difference:

- Help a library become a “loaner of things”
(Hopkinton Public Library – June 13th, 1-2pm Eastern)

- Help a college mentor help disadvantaged teens reach their college dreams
(College Axis Project, June 13th, 7-8pm, Eastern)

- Help an arts center become "a place of their own" for high school teens to hang out, connect, and create; (Hopkinton Center for the Arts – June 15th, 7-8pm)

These "Taste of Imagine Corps " facilitated Zoom sessions are ways to do good while getting a flavor for the Imagine Corps 2021 Summer Innovation Learning and Community Service Program.

In the summer workshops, our young participants will be able to:

💡 develop their thinking skills with creative and collaborative problem-solving model

♻️ apply them directly for impact with a non-profit that needs their help
.. like Live4Evan …. helping families with heart-challenged children help others like them.

SIGN UP for a Taste of Imagine Corps or APPLY for July a cohort program at www.imaginecorps.org
